I am almost finished with the NVC processing for I130. The only thing remaining is the DS-230. However, my wife is still in the process of getting her passport. According to the standard NVC processing, it mentions that I need to send the copy of the biographic page from my wife's passport. Has anyone tried just sending DS-230 and explaining to the NVC that the spouse is in the process of getting passport? My wife will definitely have her passport by the interview date. Thanks in advance

In my opinion you shouldn't risk your case being denied and you should just wait till your wife gets her passport.and I think you should find out if there is way to get passport faster.

I was in the same boat as you were...my wife was in the process of getting her passport...I sent the DS-230 anyway without the biographic page and there was no problem...I did direct filing from India, so my wife had to send the DS-230 to Mumbai. I dont know if you are doing the same or not.

If the NVC is requesting you to send the DS-230 along with a photocopy of her passport biographical page, then that's what you need to send. I don't think the NVC will move ahead with your case without it. Call the NVC to find out what they tell you regarding this issue though to make sure.

You can try to talk with NVC about it. But it is unlikely that they will move forward with your case without passport's biographic information pages copy.
