While looking at the USCIS site, I checked out the Press Room and read a new release dated July 11, stating that the system delays that were preventing some hard copy NOA2s (and NOA1s?) from being issued has been resolved.
This is news to me as I get most of my info from here on VJ and haven't seen this mentioned here yet.
If these delays supposedly affected cases from April to the present, is there a chance that many couples who have already been approved might be getting a nice surprise in the next few weeks? (Or by July 20th, according to the press release?)
I understand that the I-797 is a hard copy notice of action, but what about all the cases that remain mysteriously "pending" online after they have been approved? Could those couples receive an unexpected approval in the mail sometime soon?
This is probably old news to more savvy members of this forum, but I thought I would share.
Looking for a reason to be hopeful,
