I know this question probably gets asked alot of time. Ive seen alot of conflicting information on here. And I wanted to ask this freshly to some UK members of the forum.

With regards to the poverty guidelines I am confused at reading at them.

My fiancee supports no one else other then herself.

Is this the correct one we need to use?

Does this mean my fiancee has to earn $17,112 a year?

If so is his amount before tax or after tax?

Sadly my fiancees parents have passed away.

We have one person to ask who is her older sister to be come a co sponsor.

Sadly in England I have no assests I live with my dad and own nothing worth anything.

I do know my dad would help me out too I get a job out there by putting money in my bank each week.

Anyone got any ideas if this would stand?

Do I really need a tax return for my fiancee?

Any other hints or tips on this form please please.

Thanks for any help in advance.

You'll need a sponsor that earns enough to cover their own household plus you at the 125% level you see on the chart. It is a before tax figure. Your fiancee and any joint sponsor will both need to provide an affidavit of support and the documentation to support the income or assets claimed in the affidavit. You cannot combine sponsors to meet the income requirements in support of a K visa but you can do so to adjust status, if all sponsoring parties are in the same household.

Your UK residing father doesn't play into the picture at all unless he can provide a lump of cash to deposit in your fiancee's US bank account before she sends the I-134 and supporting documentation. If that's a possibility, we can discuss the details but weekly contributions are not considered.
