Our petition has been received by the US Embassy in Manila and we didnt have to pay $18.00 to call the embassy to get such information. Petitioner can call directly the Department of State (202)663-1225 Press 1, press 0, press 0 to inquire if your petition is already in Manila. Be ready with the case number. To get the interview date ahead, call the DOS also. Hope this info helps. $18.00 is not too much but , if we can call free then the better

Hi Like to ask also what is the number of DOS, and what DOS stand for sorry am just new here dont know much bout acronym.. And is there possible for me to get early appointment

DOS is department of State - 202-663-1225 press 1, press 0, press 0. . be ready with case number

Yup. It works for all Embassies and filers. They can't necessarily tell you WHY or HOW things are going, but they can tell you want information is entered into the computer system at the Embassy.
