After finishing a phone call with Moh discussing an episode of Spongebob he's currently watching I thought it would be fun to discuss our SO's favorite American TV shows. Here is Moh's favorite shows since coming to the US...

I'm responsible for the Food Network shows. At first he didn't like the "food channel" but after watching for two months he's gotten to like a few of the shows.

There are others but I can't think of them right now.

Friends and Scrubs are the only two I can think of off hand. Oh yay....he loves the comedy channel now too

How could I forget Scrubs???? When he first got here he would see the commercials for Scrubs and ask when it was coming on. We watch Friends quite a bit, too.

Amy has Khallid ever watched the Soup? OMG Moh laughs his azz off watching that show.

I don't think he's seen it, but now that you mentioned it......we're gonna have to watch it I think I've seen every episode of Friends at least 10 times now.

He complains and complains when I watch American Idol and So You Think You Can Dance, but he always manages to be nearby the TV when they come on, and then has to give running commentary throughout the shows.

We both also became pretty interested in Jericho.

Oh, and he also likes to watch The Deadliest Catch and stuff on the Discovery Channel.

Oh yes, I can't forget Americas Funniest Videos. He also loves anything with Martin Lawrence

we dig tv shows on dvd. we plowed through 2 seasons of lost, 2 seasons of house m.d., and the first season of x files in an embarrassingly short amount of time . next up is twin peaks, or maybe some more x files. we're not really the sit-com type.

Too funny! Yes, we've seen everything with Martin Lawrence - multiple times. Sigh. Also Cedric the Entertainer.

I forgot about America's Funniest Videos. He does not like the old Bob Saget reruns though. He only watches the newer shows and reruns. Neither of us are Bob Saget fans.

Moh is prolly the only man I know who isn't interested in sports. He doesn't even watch soccer. He likes to play sports but doesn't want to watch them.

A sitcom starring Reba McIntyre. Now I'm not a huge fan of hers but the show is pretty cute. I had never watched it before Moh got here. The son in law and ex's wife's facial expressions are really funny.

Woo hoo! I love Ninja Warrior too. My husband thinks I am crazy.

To be honest, the only show my husband goes out of his way to watch on US stations is The Amazing Race.

Hicham used to watch The O'Reilly Factor just so he could scream at the TV. I never understood that, I would tell him to just turn it off if what was said made him so mad! He's not much into politics anymore though.

When the World Cup comes around, everything comes to a halt. He will stay up and watch it all, no matter what time it is!

He has never watched alot of TV, he's more about surfing the internet...BUT...I swear he can find a channel somewhere playing one of the Godfather movies. He's had to have seen anyone of those movies a hundred times already!!!!

Usama's team (I forget the name but their color is red) is going to some world cup thing in Japan so he's psyched. I think he'll be watching soccer 24/7 if he can. I should get him his own tv. Kind of like a man-room with a huge tv, recliner, fridge, etc. He can call me if he needs me.

I forgot to add that the reason Hicham probably doesn't watch alot of TV is because it seems like as soon as he starts watching it, 5-10 minutes later he's out cold...SNORING!!!

I would say..."Boo, just go to bed" and he'd say "No, I'm watching TV" ?????? Don't know how he can hear it over his SNORING!!!!!!

I know. It would be all soccer, all the time at our house if we had the good cable with all of the soccer on it. As it is, my parents have a big hd flatscreen, and Fox Soccer Channel. Needless to say, we spend a looot of weekends over at my parents'.

The world cup is in South africa in 2010. He maybe talking about prelims.

The main American show he likes is Family Guy. He's not much of a channel surfer, and likes to watch Cartoon Network, regardless of what's on (I tend to make him change it when they play anything Japanese!) He also likes Trick my truck on CMT. He's gotten to be a little country music fan!

nessa is working on those 3 via netflix. and "cops" is one of her favorites too.

we do a lot of the Discovery and Animal Planet stuff, and of course South Park which I never really watched before he got here but now I am quite a fan, its WRONG but so darn funny sometimes.
For a while Adnan got real sucked in to American Chopper but I guess he got burnt out, and we really like Anthony Bourdain on the Travel Channel. and yeah, hells kitchen.

how could i forget "cops"! my fiance tried to describe that show to me (he couldn't remember the name) so he started to sing the opening song...and butchered it! i haven't had a laugh that great in a while!

Mine loves loves loves watching the local news. I thought it was because he knows its a good way to learn about the city and use his English. Then he discovered Cops and now I thik he just likes watching crazy people on TV

Big Love is one of my favorites! Gotta love watching a man juggle 3 wives.

My husband loves 24, Prison Break, Lost, Heroes, anything on the National Geogrphic channel, the Planet Earth series, most stuff on the history channel, Fresh Prince of Bel Air, the Cosby Show, aaaaaand the Girls Next Door................................. although he says he doesn't

Girls Next Door! We were watching that on Sunday night and Moh turned it off. He said the girls were too stupid for him to continue watching. I, personally, get a kick out of that show.

My husband LOVES the talent shows... American Idol, So You Think You Can Dance, America's got Talent. He's addicted to Studio 2M (the Moroccan version of American Idol) but admits that the American Idol singers are much better.

Oh, speaking of, did anyone watch America's Got Talent last night? I can't BELIEVE they let Boy Shakira and that bad Indian dancer through... They must intentionally pick some people who aren't as good so that you can keep laughing at them.

I'm pretty sure all those shows do that. That was my sister's idea to get on American Idol. Apparently during the auditions, you first try out with the real judge's assistants, who decide who gets to see the three "real" judges. She said, all you have to do is sing so horribly that the assistants will put you in the next round, so they can record you with the real judges to have something to laugh at. But instead of singly horribly that time, you just sing the way you normally would.

My husband loves to watch some stupid show on 2M, I'm not sure if its a regular feature or not. They interview entrepreneurs in Morocco and ask them hypothetical questions about what they would do for Morocco blah blah blah. I literally wanted to jump out of the window to alleviate my suffering after watching about 10 minutes of this. I became nauseated with a screaming migraine. They start out in French and just when you start understanding what's going on they switch to Daarija.

My hubby loves that "My Wife and Kids" sitcom and sometimes "King of Queens". He got me addicted to "Dancing with the Stars" in this last season, and now he's constantly searching for another reality-type game show in the 'off-season'.
