I just sent back packet 3 form DS230 today July the 10th and it will be there on the 14th.Do you think there is a chance I would have the interveiw on august ?

Nope. It takes the NVC an average of 2 weeks to close your case which would be by the beginning of August. Then depending on the embassy, it takes another month or so for the interview to be scheduled. A rule of thumb for the NVC sending cases to the embassy in Bogotá, Colombia is that if the interview is scheduled before the 15th of each month, the actual interview takes place the next month. If it's after the 15th, it takes place the following month.

Check the timelines of people who are going through your embassy to get an idea.

Depends really on how many people are in processing. Of course the more there are, the less interview times are available. That and the embassy is always up to something. For example: The Australian Embassy in Sydney is closing down for a couple weeks due to APEC and so they are scheduling around it and it is affecting some people in regard to time of the interview, but each embassy is different.
