Sorry, in my excitement, I didn't put this in the right area.
It should be added to the June filers thread.

Did you have to do an IMBRA waiver? If so what did you have to write? how complicated is it?

You should do a search here and read the guides for more details on IMBRA and IMBRA waivers, but the short answer is you need the waiver if you file two or more petitions within a 2-year period. There are other reasons to request the waiver, but this is my reason. I am petitioning for the same individual, so technically, I shouldn't have to make the request, but better safe than sorry because it really depends on who is adjudicating our petition. I don't need and RFE after everything I've been through.

My attorney wrote it and he used lots of legal terminology so I'm sure to get the waiver. You can write your own, but after a visa refusal, I would advice against that.

Thank you all soooooooooooooo much. I need all the well-wishes I can get.
Wow, you filed in May and still nothing (clarky/Tarah)? That's not the norm for Vermont. Have you called to see what the problem might be?

I hope you hear something soon!!!!
