wised up too late
Morning everyone!

Anyone have any plans for the day? I am hoping to stay home today and do things around the house. Got up early to make some banana bread and can't find my recipe. huh.gif So now I have to figure something else out for breakfast.
Where's GEG with all that wonderful food she once had? Hopefully I will get some time on the pc to catch up on vj. Since Reda has been here, he hogs the pc. I don't think he realizes it though.

Good Morning Sunday! I am measuring a house then going to work and sit at my desk for a few hours. Tonight, Mohammed's 2 cousins are coming over for dinner. Looking forward to that. Hope you all have a good day.

We need to go wireless bc we do have a lap top and a very old desk top. Hestarts work tomorrow so I think he won't be on as much. In addition, my daughter will be home in 2 weeks and that will keep him busy too.

Were is MENA today? Everyone still asleep?

I am so glad my husband does not use the computer since coming here. He has no need. So I get to make use of the computer whenever I like. biggrin.gif

I have made wonderful plans for my husband and I today. He will enjoy it. It is supposed to be very hot in Chicago today (95 or 100 degress).

Well I had planned to spend the day at the lake, but when I really looked at my house, those plans changed. LOL Sleeping in yesterday really took a toll on my housecleaning plans. Oh, well. So today I tackle the house and laundry and yard work. The beach will have to wait.

My son and I just got in from spending a couple of days with one of my childhood friends who lives near the beach. Got seriously burned! We had an umbrella, but I didn't realize how much sun I got chasing our 16 month old around. He talked to almost every girl (big and small) near us. He even sat down on their beach blankets. Come to think of it, I think most of the girls had bikinis. laughing.gif I really think it's because he wanted to see their belly buttons. He's very fascinated with belly buttons right now!

Lots of laundry to do and get ready to get back in the grind after being off for several days.

Hope everyone had a good weekend. Guess we've got a long haul till another holiday comes around. sad.gif

today was HOT...

I went to the Lebanese store today to get Kanafi and Lebni

from 2-5 i scrubbed my kitchen floor with one of those green scrub pads and ammonia - The floor had this build up yuk from before I moved in.. Even with the windows open and the fan pointed straight at me - I have this not quite a headache weirdness still from the fumes..

And even though I was in the house cleaning all day... My house looks trashed blink.gif counting down the days till my husband is here.. I'm alittle more freaked out to have people over this Sunday wacko.gif

This weekend's been a waste of sorts. Spent most of yesterday trying to figure out how to fix the razr we got via ebay, then today spent about 6 hours trying the same. Finally figured out how to get two ring tons on there using motorola phone tools but after configuring them via itunes (I did 12 of them) only the two fit..the rest said the file was too large. I was like wtf the song cut lasted all of 15 seconds!!!! wacko.gif wacko.gif I officially give up and will beg Cingular to reconfigure. I don't know why they wouldn't since it will mean they'll get more money via their cingular mall.

Anyhoo in between all that I've had kids coming in and out of my house all day. They all went to the beach (i think there were five of them lol) to get some ice cream but they forgot their money so they just got lime-rickey's instead. Then they came in all sandy, we all went food shopping which I loved since they all brought in the groceries and put them away. good.gif

2 of the kids went home so now I have one sleeping over 'cause they start the same camp in the morning. I grilled some awesome marinated steaktips up, boiled a ton of corn on the cob and made this awesome salad with fresh mozzarella marinated in garlic and basil and olive oil, red onion, english cukes and fresh on the vine tomatoes. YUM.

Making strawberry shortcake with fresh whipped cream later and watching Mean Girls for the zillionth time.

I can't wait to go to work so I can hear the nice silence and quiet!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! laughing.gif laughing.gif laughing.gif

Oh I forgot......they all went down cellar earlier this morning to get beach towels out of the dryer and I heard the highest pitched screams from each. blink.gif

Went down cellar and lo and behold there was a dead mole in front of the washing machine.

blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif

I got a dust pan and tried to nudge it on there (it was dead on it's side) but it only flipped over with it's lil four legs stickin' up in the air so I had to get a cloth and push it there all the while having my stomach in my throat. blech!!!! We put it in a garbage bag and threw it in the front of the house but fifteen minutes later I heard screams again (gotta love tween girls ) 'cause it blew over to the neighbor's yard. They pushed it back and threw a huge rock on it which prompted more squeals 'cause apparently that squashed it and splatted some guts out the side of the bag.

YUM! lol I can't wait for my husband to get here!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I was a lazy bum today!!!! Woke up at 11am...yea i havent had sleep like that for over a year....had coffee and sat around til 1.....started marinating the chicken and steak that i grilled tonight....and me and sofyan swam in our pool for nearly 5 hours...i feel like i have an ocean in my head, ad now i have the worst tan lines....which is NO good considering im standing up in my brothers wedding in 3 weeks, and the dress is spaghetti strap and my bathing suit is a halter....i may just have to resort to the tanning beds. im off to watch lord of the rings 2 with the kids....Ive never see any of them and we finished lord of the rings one last night, so the kids are curious...have a good night all...

Jac, what did u cook?

The police in my town are on about something. We were watching a movie and all of a sudden I noticed that blue flashing lights were in front of our house for a suspicious amount of time so I got up and looked to find 3 cruisers in front of my house and cops all over my lawn.

blink.gif blink.gif blink.gif

I went outside and apparently they were all circling around this area that is on the grassy part near the street on my sidewalk. No one noticed me coming out my door or anything so I walked on over to see what the deal was and my neighbor across the street shouts, "they think there's a suspicious package on your lawn!!!"

unsure.gif

I come closer and find they are looking at none other than the green garbage bag with the big rock holding it down.

blush.gif I shout "THAT'S A DEAD MOLE IN THERE !!!"

but no one was paying attention so I got closer and yelled it again. They all looked at me funny, looked at the package again for a little while and then went away.

Freakin' cops have nothing better to do I tell ya. wacko.gif

He loves nature. So we went to a place in Glenco called the Chicago Botanical Garden. He just thought we were going to have a picnic. I had prepared a picnic bag and everything, but I kept it in the truck. Nearby is a place called Ravinia. It is a placed that I have loved for years. Anyhoo, they have plays, concerts, musical, and dance performances. They will be having Aretha and Hootie and the Blowfish very soon. We got lawn tickets-had our picnic while listening to the Chicago Symphony Orchestra. It was a very nice experience for him and something different. I am trying to provide a variety of things to do before the winter. I am sharing all that Chicago has to offer. When winters comes I will be staying inside.
