OK, I dont mean to create a scare here but if anyone from last year had any issue with the embassies closing and employee vacations during the Nov-Dec-New Years Holidays please fill me in. I hate to be a realist here but being a bunch of government workers with lots of vacation time, I am affraid there will be some slow downs later in the year such as delaying interviews. Someone please correct me if I am dillusional with this thought. Thanks

Don't worry about that... US Embassy never will let everyone to take vacation during summer time.. I work in British Embassy here in Kazakhstan (but not in Visa section) and believe me they have some type of system to send people on leave .. believe me they know their job very well

I think they were talking about the end of the year holiday season...Nov-Dec-Jan.
