My fiance works as a pharmacist in Cairo, and he told me that yesterday two American women (he said he thinks they were from Texas but he's not too sure) came into the store asking for directions. They struck up a conversation and one of the girls said to Ramy, "Can you believe how crazy my friend is? She's MARRYING a guy from EGYPT!"

Ramy said he couldn't help but laugh. Guess I'm crazy too

So...anyone from VJ go to a pharmacy in Cairo yesterday?

Tooo funny. I WISH I was in Cairo. What part of Cairo is his pharmacy in? I will be going the end of August. Is there anything you'd like me to take to him? We'd be more than happy to drop off something from you while Im there. I'll be staying the the Maadi area but will be out and about. (I know how expensive shipping costs to Egypt and the unreliability to boot)

This is going to sound so bad but he changed pharmacies in the past week and communications between us have been so BAD this week that I haven't found out where the new one is! LOL Like all our phone calls have been cut off after 30 seconds and he's had a terrible time with his computer, even though it's supposed to be new. I can't wait to go to Egypt and fix it for him

Anyway. I think he's still working around the same area, which is in Dar el Malak (sp).

(are there any good maps on the net with all these places labeled? I can't find where he works AT ALL. Google earth is good up to a point...until everything is in Arabic and I can't read it (yet)!

Welll I can understand the phone issues and net issues. I had worried at one point that he wasn't totally honest about this...how could one have sooo many issues with phones and net??? Right? Till I went there and saw for myself!!! I don't know all the areas..and haven't been able to find a map anywhere with these listed. Guess Amazon.com maybe would have a cairo map for sale.
