Moscow requires K visa applicants to fill out a D-156K. This form basically asks, "Are you married?" and then "If you are married, please tell us why you have a snowball chance in the hot fiery place (-- that would be Oklahoma, where I used to live
For K1 applicants, these are fair questions. For K3 applicants, this form looks problematic to me. So my questions:
1. How have the K3 filers among you coped with this form?
2. Does Moscow include it in the packet for K3 beneficiaries to fill out?
3. I emailed Moscow a couple days ago with these questions (politely put, of course). Was this stupid? What posture should petitioners take toward Moscow? That of an idealistic American who expects his government to perform legal services for its citizens in helpful, decent ways? That of a cynical American who avoid telling the government anything and expects them to twist anything they learn to mean an opposite thing detrimental to the citizen's interests? Or how far in between?
I hope for factual answers concerning the D-156K and, maybe, interesting discussion, based on posters experience, on how we should deal with gov and especially the Moscow post.
