I just found this on the USCIS website:
I 751
Remove conditions on your Permanent Resident status
$ 545 (filing + biometric) for you + $80 biometric fee for each dependent you include in your application
So, in other words, it's not $2,900...that would just be insane!

I think the fee you cited is for I-829, for investors and with previous enterprise in the US..

Here's a list of all the fee increses
LINKThe first form number on the second attachment (first post) says "I-829 Remove Conditions on Permanent Resident status (investor) $2,930 (filing + biometric) for you + $80 biometric fee for each dependant you include in your application"
So, I guess that's where the OP got his/her figure from.

I paid $935 for my current immigration applications. Come the end of the month, the same applications will cost $2010.
That is absolutely absurd.

I added together the 1010 for "all other cases, plus biometrics" plus the AP fee, EAD fee and fee for the I-130???

actually the new fee for AOS includes the AP and EAD fee, although you still have to fill out the appropriate forms for each...
QUOTE
Adjustment applications and ancillary benefits – The new application fee for an I-485 is a package fee that includes associated EAD and advance parole applications. Thus, if you file an I-485 with the fee listed above, while you will still need to submit applications for an EAD and advance parole, you will not need to pay a separate fee so long as your adjustment application is pending. However, if you filed your I-485 before this fee change, to apply for or renew your EAD or advance parole, you must file a new application with the new fee for those applications.

We are just finishing our first year, and for grins and giggles, I went to the USCIS website yesterday. When I saw they are raising the fees by almost double the amount at the end of this month, I was NOT a happy camper!!! Why couldn't they wait till Jul 30, 2008?!!!!
Going from $205 + $70 ($275) to $545 is absurd!!! And they wonder why there are so many illegal immigrants in this country!!!

Wow... that really sux!!!

So sorry to hear that... it definitely makes it worse when you miss by a small window rather than a large one.
You say its only money... but its money that I'd rather not spend! Makes you wonder where all that money goes?

This is outrageous! I'll be filing in December and I'm NOT happy about the double fees! And what the hell I need another biometrics for?! My fingerprints haven't changed!
