heyyy happy thursday! i just posted my update of my 4th in the plans for the 4th thread. things are going okay here...its going to be a very hectic almost 2wks, cause i have put everything off, and unpacked more then usual since ive been here double the time im usually on vacation...soooo its gonna take more effort on my part but it will get done

Probably a lame post since I don't know names but has anyone heard back from that woman who was going to Egypt to get married? I remember her fiance's name was Usama but I forget her username. I'm just curious if they did actually get married given the new ruling on not accepting the statement from the us embassy.

Im here too! Representing the DZ section that is !!! Oh how I wish i was going back to visit too but at the moment, I am grounded ! Next year inchallah.

Im starting to get excited though -anxiously waiting for the news that my husband's passport and visa will be returned to him -they should have just arrived at the embassy in Paris for processing; but of course its waiting for the embassy to return it back is the trick! When it does i can book him on that new ALGIERS/MONTREAL one way flight -then he will probably spend a couple days there as he has relatives in Montreal; and finally its on to the west! But he has suddenly gotten this great adventure into his head -taking the Greyhound bus to Alberta where I am -i told him -but thats gonna take almost 3 days to get here by that route!!! Its about 102 bus stops along the way -in all these little towns besides the big cities!!!! 3 DAYS FOR HIM TO MISS HIS BUS IF HE GETS OFF FOR A SMOKE OR SOMETHING TO EAT -I know i have to stop thinking of him as an innocent little baby but despite that he is very wise, I'll be worried the whole time till he gets here; if this is what he really wants to do! lol!

anyways i'm draggin' bigtime and I look like holy hell

I took my sweet old time getting to work this morning. We didn't get home until 1:30am. Got home and immediately crashed. I forgot to set the alarm so I didn't wake up until 9:30am...oops.

I had a great time lastnight, this being our first 4th together. we went to the races and then watched the fireworks. We celebrated all the freedom that we have now and he enjoyed how everyone comes together and the emotions he felt we the patriotic songs where playing and the feeling being felt. Then we came home and watched the Boston Show on tv he was in awe.

My poor dog has a really hard time with the 4th, I have to give her traquilizers and she still is a wreck. All the booms have her heart racing 1000 miles an hour. She is still freaking out for every sound right now, he!! she doesn't even want to go outside.

We are still awaiting the SS card to arrive and since it only makes the 2 week since he enterd the USA we are doing well. trying to make him realize this is not easy as he feels he needs to be working now. I am trying to get him to enjoy this time off since he will work for a very long time without time off, but well it is not working.

I'm bored.

All the threads kinda require thinkin' and readin' today and I just don't have it in me.

Me too. It seems like half of the office took the week off and the other half is out on maternity leave.

Last night we walked to the esplanade in Boston for the fireworks - I haven't done that since I was a kid so it was a lot of fun and the fireworks were AMAZING!! Sooooo cool.

Sooooo instead of doing what little work I have, I'm planning our summer vacation - we've decided to go to Mexico. I've found a fantastic deal at a resort in Playa del Carmen, so hopefully we'll book the tickets tonight. I've been there a bunch of times with my family so I know it'll be a good time. Can't wait to get some sun, I was stuck in the office the whole month of June!

I watched the Pops last night. I wanna be the cymbal guy. That guy looks like he has fun smashing the cymbals together!!!! My little daughter wants to be the t riangle person. lol

You have certainly NOT had a boring journey Jess! Have a great time with Geo HOw long will you be able to stay with him this time? Is this a more permanent thing, for now?

I'm actually on vacation until MONDAY!!!!! YEAH!!!!!!!

My aunt is keeping my little boy, so I think I'm going to go lay down and take an uninterrupted nap by little fingers trying to go in my ears or up my nose!!!!

But then I do have to get up and cut the grass, since we are leaving for....

THE BEACH first thing in the morning for a couple of days!!!!!

Yea I'm super excited. And my husband has been working days AND nights since he got here, so it'll be nice to spend more than an hour with each other.

When I was little I always wanted to be the conducter and whenever we used to go to the Pops or symphony hall i used to pretend to conduct the music.. in fact, i think i might have done a little conducting last night too

Tonight I'm going out for the first time in a LONGGGGGGG time to get sushi with some friends... can't wait!

This last hour of work has been dragginggggggggggggg....... 39 minutes!

it definitly doesnt feel like thursday, maybe more like a monday....i havent had a day off in weeks and am looking forward to sunday...the 4th was fun, we went to a carnival down the street, rode some rides, and watched the fireworks....i have to work 12-8 tomorrow and knowing that its payday doesnt make it any better, maybe if i got to spend one dollar on myself rather than bills, i might be more enthused, oh well, thats life right....Happy weekend to everyone

Well the visa is good for 90 days, so unless we are able to adjust my status once im there ill have to leave oct 15. but if we can then ill prolly be there til feb for my next vacation...but that vacation will be planned and ill get to go back on a choosen date, not wondering for mths when i will.

today it rained...we went to the county fair..it was borinnng as heck, not much going on and it rained off and on and got humid when it wasnt raining. i got some sunburn on my face, i can feel it.

i sent my passport out to the saudi consulate and it is guarenteed to be there by noon tomorrow...so lets see when they process it and send it back to me. i included an overnight envelope sooooo we will see. i have that tracking number so as soon as they mail it and its entered ill know its on its way
