I'm a little worried that my passport style pics may get rejected at the medical or the interview, because I decided to jump the gun today and get my pic snapped after working a 16 hour day. Since I was so tired, my eye wandered a bit when he took the photos, and now one eye is looking at the camera, the other one is looking sort of down and to the left. (This happens to me sometimes when I'm overtired, so I guess in reality, the pic could be considered a "true likeness" of myself..but normally my eyes don't wander like that unless I haven't slept in days.

Anyways, I am just curious if anyone knows if that will cause problems at the interview. I know some people have had their photos rejected for some pretty silly reasons, so I guess I'm getting a little nervous. My mom looked at the pics and said she didn't even notice the eye thing, but I know they are going to be a little more picky and the last thing I need is to have my photos rejected when I'm standing on the consulate steps in a city I've never been in, hehe.
(Also...he stamped the back of 3 of them since he wasn't sure whether I would need it or not.)...
Anyone know if stamping the photos or the eye thing is going to be an issue?

You'll be fine. The only thing they are picky with is the size and the quality of the actual photo. Doesn't matter if it's a good photo of you or not. smile.gif

Lol k thanks. The guy at the photo shop looked at me funny too when I asked if him making my photos come out crosseyed is considered ok, so I guess I just have a slight tendecy to over-react innocent.gif

=) I'm sure you will be fine too

The pics should be fine. They hardly care about the pic at the medical and the Consulate only wants a good enough size and pic quality to put into your visa, doesn't matter if you are tired.

FYI, I noticed that in the downstairs waiting room in the MTL consulate they have a photo booth there. I'm assuming it's for if the pic's you bring aren't right you can get them redone there. Don't know why else they would have a photo booth there for? It's strange b/c it's just like one of those photo booths you see in the mall.... don't see how the quality would be anything great.

You'll be fine. The photos I had done for the I-129f petition were absolutely horrible but I couldn'g justify redoing them because everything else was right - I just looked really tired - and we wanted to get the petition in quickly. They just seem to be with the file as I haven't seen them since. The one they took for my green card is so pale and over-exposed you can barely see me so I guess they don't worry about it too much.

Cant be worse than the passport pictures we took for our I-129f petition last summer in a Walgreens...We looked like pale aliens!!!! laughing.gif

But they still accepted it biggrin.gif

Wait until you get your EAD and greencard. Apparently those are *the worst* photos ever. It's the photo that they took at your biometrics. biggrin.gif

I think you should be ok but just make sure that they can see your ears as during the interview i had to run down to the corner and take new ones. It was raining so my hair was terrible and it was a photo booth. I wouldn't worry about it.
MissStacey
Ears? Really? You can't see my ears in any of my pics. I didn't have any problems.

The size is important. When I got my pics done- the guy has worked in the US before with a Visa and knew exactly what I needed. That was cool.

Thanks everyone. I'll definetely pay a visit to the photo booth in the consulate and at least have the green card pic redone. The medical ones I'll just leave as is since I don't really care about those ones wink.gif

I believe, the two you take to the interview are used for the pic on the visa that they put in your passport. I could be wrong but I think that they take the picture for the actual greencard at the POE when you activate your visa. I'm not positive though.

Everyone's right - don't worry about it. Have more pics done if you want to before you ship to MTL, on a rested day wink.gif

I couldn't help laughing on that bolded part laughing.gif

When have you seen passport (or driver's licence) photos that are ever above mediocre?
Teacher
My passport style photos and the passport style photos my fiance sent me looked to be two different sizes. I haven't heard anything yet...no NOA2. I'm hoping it won't be a problem. They would ask for new ones if they weren't correct wouldn't they?
