First..congratulations to those that got their approval either through email, mail, or by calling CSC.

My question is.. I've called several times and each time I get connected the representative tells me the same thing. That it is pending or you have to wait several months since they are only processing December 2006 based on their processing time. I am so confused and yet people are getting approved that are in my timeline and with several touches. How can a representative dig deeper to your status? I mean how can they say your approved by calling if your status online sais that it is still pending? Mine still sais it is pending and I want to believe that I have been approved already, but each time I would call.. it hurts to hear the same thing over and over. I want to talk to a REAL REPRESENTATIVE.. huhuhuhu... So what do they see in their computers? Howcome they can't tell me what's going on. I called today and don't want to call again because they keep records of it. They know when you called or how many times you've called when you give them your receipt number. I am really just down today and don't know what to do anymore. My friend lives in Guam and her fiance was in the Philippines and theirs only took 3 MONTHS!!! 3 MONTHS and they were together already.

If they are going to increase and double the fees by the end of the month then I believe they should INCREASE THE SPEED of the processing times. Sorry guys if you think I'm angry, but I'm not just really frustrated. Congratulations to all of you that have gotten your NOA2s.. wish you guys well and your upcoming weddings.

USCIS customer service wont move on a petition untill 30 days past the processing date. The answer you got is the standard one.

There are posters on this site that have waited 6 months or more, you should have seen this site last September and into the fall when many petitions were held up with IMBRA RFE's

Calling or gettin a congess person involved wont help untill after the processing date posted on USCIS site.

Some cases take longer than others depending on complexity, and name checks.

Have you gone through the prompts for a request for more information/evidence (can't remember the wording)? We had a similar situation, several touches and then nothing! I called USCIS and followed those prompts, entered my case # and then a guy picked up and said "California Service Center". If you dont hear them say this, you are in the wrong place. The normal call center only sees what we see online, so they aren't really any help if you think you haven't been notified of an approval.

Another option would be to wait another week or so and then try calling NVC. If they have it, you know you were approved. Good luck and I hope this helps!

If neither of these works, then I second the above advice!

Hi msu17.. I did those prompts.. like press 1 for english.. press 2 to skip the introduction.. press 2.. and 4 for evidence or RFE.. then you enter the receipt number and the machine will read back something to you about the case.. and then you press 1 to speak to a representative.. so how can you be connected to the CALIFORNIA SERVICE CENTER? So you are saying that sometimes you can get through and a CALIFORNIA SERIVCE CENTER represantative will answer.. and most of the time it will be just the NORMAL CALL CENTER? Im a bit confused.. please clear it up for me..thank you

I know it sucks to wait, but your official receive date is April 12. There are still people with NOA1 dates earlier than yours who have not yet been approved. I believe there are still people with March NOA1 dates who haven't yet been approved as well. In other words, with April 12 NOA1 date, you're not grossly behind everyone else waiting for NOA2, you've either got a few days of waiting ahead of you still or they're looking at your petition right now. I wouldn't start to panic or worry until you start to see people with NOA1 dates AFTER your date getting their NOA2s. If you keep obsessing about it, you're only going to make yourself sick. I was so nuts over things that in the end, i had to find reasons to get away from the internet all together so that I wouldn't check CSC every five minutes. I know it's hard to wait, but you're still within normal processing times. NOA2 is only half the battle, you'll need patience to get through the next step as well! (The NVC blackhole, interview waiting, etc)

Hey... you can find here http://www.visajourney.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=76253 info on how to do this, see if it's the same with what you have already done! I've seen so many saying they managed to get the answer... I hope it helps you also! It really looks like you should have an approval after all these touches, sure hope IT IS the approval smile.gif

Shortly:
* 1 for English,
* 2 for main menu,
* 2 for reporting an issue,
* 4 for more evidence,
* then 2, 1,
* then entered our case number (with the WAC at the beginning, that is 922+10 digits).
* then it took us to a representative in the service center.
