Good Morning EVERYONE!
I need coffee and just put in an order via my husband in Amman. I need ARABIC COFFEE. LOL
So, today begins my official "countdown" to the interview. 20 days from today my husband will go to his interview. I think now is as good a time as any to start getting nervous, don't you agree?

It's useless to tell people not to get nervous! I know I practically chewed my fingers to the bone I was so nervous. My husband and I went over all the possible questions and scenarios of what would happen and what they might ask till we drove ourselves crazy. The best advice that I can give is to just be honest and be yourself. For the people that are truly in love and trying to be together, you have nothing to hide and nothing to be afraid of. I kept telling my husband that and the second interview that he had with the "evil" one...she was really nice and he was really calm and everything went great.

I hope for you that time passes quickly and the interview has a wonderful outcome!

Nobody loves a countdown more than me! And..................the night you will be waiting for your man to call, we have yet another Amman interview, it's a Jordan double-header on July 23! Wendy will also be pacing the floor and biting her nails. It's a DOUBLE MENA SLUMBER PARTY! I have special things planned for that night, hope everyone will join us there, details to follow.

Yeah I definitely won't be going online at all that whole week since I'll be "busy".

Hmm... My July 3rd.. WELL.. my pain in the A$$ friend HAD to wake me up with a text message @ 640 this morning.. .. then I talked to the hubby.. and found out I was trying to talk to some random guy (i thought it was my BIL) cause he shut off his phone - it was sending me a million of the same text messages(San Stefano! dont forget Doodle). So apparently I called the wrong Egyptian phone # (and apparently he knew someone named Mohamed too... Der!) THEN i was getting out of my car.. and spilled my coffee ALL over my jeans.. SOAKED! now I REAK of coffee.. and my pants (now dry) feel sticky/ yucky THEN a patient cancelled at my job.. so I got stuck hearing one of the Doctor's lectures.. 30 MINTUES!!! .. I had to STAND THERE and hear her complain about patients then lecture me about hadiths!! by the time I got to sit down.. my toes felt tingly (wearing chunky heels) .. At lunch I plan on walking to the Desi (indian) store and get Chana Masala and bread for lunch.. It is wicked spicy.. I love it.. but it gives me the Worst stomach ache later

Sooooooooooooooooooooo....have you started prepping him with questions yet? What are they gonna wear? Are you all set with whatever forms you need to bring just so you don't run into the same problem Jen did with Morocco?

Yes, we have been going over all the things we think they may ask him in the interview. I am amazed by his memory sometimes. Things that I said just as an afterthought months ago, he has remembered. So, I think that part will go okay. We have an attorney in Amman, so hopefully there won't be any unpleasent surprises with paper work, or forms and such. His greatest worry is his English, which he thinks is not so good. I have always been able to understand everything he says, though sometimes we do have to play the "what does it mean" game to get to the right word. I can only hope and pray that he does well in the interview, and that the visa comes quickly after.

At first my husband got dates wrong and it used to tick me off since one of them was my birthday but now I actually think he's dyslexic 'cause for example instead of saying "form 156", he'd say "form 165"...which caused a LOT of confusion when he was asking how to fill the forms out. I'm not sure if it's just a translation thing though. Do they even use the same numbers as we do? I thought we got our numbers from arabic. Anyway other than that the other thing he couldn't remember was what I do for work since I changed jobs a few months back but I think he's got that one down now.

16 Days Until Interview!!!!

I never thoght we would reach this point, and now it seems the time is fast approaching!!

I am looking forward to the slumber party for Wendy and I. I know that it will be great fun and tons of support for both of us.

Oh wow, you'll be the big Three Zero on July 16th....Congrats! I'll be 30 on July 22. And I'm not too embarrassed to say that I JUST got my driver's license for the first time last Monday! I was scared to death to drive, especially in Houston, but Subhan Allah I finally built up the nerve.
