Dave informs me that he has seen the link and he appreciates everyones well wishes and is thankful that we have overcome this hurdle and we can now start focussing on being together and starting our own lives together and the next step of the immigration:)

Well didnt get much sleep last nite - dave and I were so excited we didnt get off the computer till around 4ish or was it 5ish am!! anyways I got a woken up to a very loud banging on my door at 8.30am - it was the COURIER!!! WOOT My passport with the visa in it and the big brown envelope that I MUST NOT OPEN and my x-ray arrived!!
Ohhhh so exciting so exciting!! I rang my brother yesterday nite to tell him the good news but he isnt too happy about the whole deal and well he got me upset that I cried - I hate it when family just cant be happy for others they just have to criticise all the time - it wouldnt matter to me if I was with the same attitude as my David but coming from the indian family and to me family has always been a big factor - especially him as he basically brought me up and is like a father to me and the fact that both my parents have passed on - I only expected him to say he wished me luck and if i was happy than he was happy - but instead I get sarcasm and criticism!! It looks like I will be l;oosing some family members because of my love and commitment to my Dave!! But I know this is the right thing for me to do right now.
Thank you for listening:)

Congrats Lina!
Don't dawdle with selling your home; they seem to be changing their minds every 2 seconds with the HIPs and you don't want to have to deal with those! Plus, the BoE is probably going to put interest rates up to 6% by the end of the year and that will slow down the market so hurry hurry!
We dealt with Rentons, which is one of the subsidiaries of Countrywide PLC. They have offices all over the UK but they may not be called Rentons in Leicester. We were impressed with the York office...and at the end of the day, they did sell our house. We also listed with William H Brown which is part of the Sequence group in the UK; they sent an avalanche of people through our door and their service was good. I'd recommend either one of them but look around your neighborhood at the 'for sale' signs; see who is actually selling houses at good prices and sign up with them.

Congratulations Lina, I'm so happy for you especially after all you went through to get this visa.
If I can help with questions about house selling, transferring money, moving stuff then just ask. I recently transferred some money with Interchange FX and they were very professional and fast and gave good rates. I got loads of quotes for removals and they were all very similar. Basically if you have a lot of stuff to move then it's expensive (we have a 20 foot container and it's £4500) or you can sell/give away as much stuff as possible and try to bring minimal stuff with you then start again over here (can't believe I'm saying 'over here' now!)
Good luck with it all! You've done the hard bit, feel proud of yourself
