In anticipation of the new policies taking effect at the end of this month I am updating the site as needed. Let me know if I missed anything so it is all set to go

:
The links and relavent text indicating filing locations have been updated in the K-1 and K-3 Guides. Even though the USCIS states
QUOTE
"USCIS will accept Forms I-129F, I-131, I-140, I-360, I-485, I-765 and I-907 filed with the new “Direct Filing” location in advance of the July 30, 2007 effective date, that are otherwise properly filed."
see:
http://www.uscis.gov/files/pressrelease/Up...iling062107.pdfI made it clear especially in the K-3 Guide about the difference in where to send the I-129F both before and after the cutoff. I also re-iterated that on July 30th there is no fee for filing an I-129F when petitioning for a K-3 Visa.

K1 and K3 Flowcharts updated to indicate new I-129F filing locations / new policy.

FAQ's have been updated with the new filing information.

K1 and K3 AOS Guide has been updated to reflect the fact that on or after Jul 30th the new fee includes the cost of AP and EAD's. There is not extra cost for these while the I-485 is pending after July 30th.

Joint I130 and I485 filing in the US Guide Updated to reflect that on or after Jul 30th the new fee includes the cost of AP and EAD's. There is not extra cost for these while the I-485 is pending after July 30th.

K-1 wise, it looks good to me, Cpt.
Correct me if I am wrong, but the only difference for K1 is that the petitioner will send the package exactly where it would have been transfered to. Of course, that and the fee increase.

I can only speak for the K-1, also, and it looks very good.

Capn - Since these new filing rules (locations) are not in effect till 7/30, isn't it better to wait? Noobs will likely get confused & send it to the wrong place.

Actually the USCIS Said:

I dunno, it reads fine to me...but then I read the filing locations on uscis.gov and it still has the old ones & no mention about early acceptance at the new locations.
the words 'otherwise properly filed' would give me pause...does that mean, if it needs an RFE, the whole pkg gets returned if you've mailed it early to the new center?

Per a telephone conversation on 5:00 EST 7/2/2007:
We have confirmed with Officer Ruiz of the USCIS that you can, yes, file your I-129F's in advance of July 30th with the new direct filing location.

New fee only required on / after the effective date. Filing locations are unrelated (but timed to be the same for convenience).

Just to clarify for my own curiosity, is this what Agent Whoever you spoke to at USCIS
specifically said; or is this your take? Not being a snot here-just checking

The PDF Capn linked to says so, as well as the one he called.

Tmma-
It is good that you want to make sure. To answer your question, I wrote down exactly what she said. I do not know immigration nor claim to and am only reciting what the USCIS has said and printed publically.
I referred her to the press release (see link above for the press release at the USCIS.GOV website) and read to her what it said. I asked if that meant people could send an I-129f per the Direct Filing instructions prior to the 30th and she put me on hold to verify. She came back and said that, yes, the press release is correct and you can.
I thought the pdf was pretty clear but I wanted to get the USCIS to confirm just to satisfy myself. The Officer confirmed it. I would suggest that anyone that is concerned continue to file at the current location until the 30th, however, both an official published press release and an officer at the USCIS have confirmed the details. The officer gave her contact info so we have record of the source and call.
