Hello ! I was just wondering for those who have recently filed their I130 through an consulate, what was a typical wait time to hear back from them. The Toronto consulate received my I130 petition for my husband on June 20, and was just wondering how long that may take until I recieve any kind of notice that they are starting processing it. I realize that it takes time, so not complaining in any form. Also does anyone know what the phone number is to call and see if a reciept number has been given yet to the application (there was a post at one time that gave a number, and I cannot for the life me find that post with the number).


I appreciate any information/suggestion anyone may have.

Awesome yours was approved very quick. Gosh it feels like ages ago that we filed ours in Frankfurt,Germany

Hey Concartulations, I just seen that you Visa was approved

It was not the visa, it was the I-130 that was approved
The process in MTL from here to visa time is circa 6 months... sad, but true.
