OMG - ok just as an update - i had my medical and interview on 6/7 june - The police record hadnt arrived in time so i was given the courier form and my passport back and told to call the couriers to arrange to pick it all up when i get it - well that finally was over and done with on saturday 23 June and on its way to the embassy.

As to the medical - well the doctor wanted a new letter from my GP and a psychiatrists evaluation - I finally got my GP to fax a letter last friday and I have an appoitnment with my psychiatrists on 3 july - so there is me thinking OMG it wont be before end July/august by the time I hear whats happened!

Anyways today I called knightsbridge docs to see if they received the fax from my GP - she informed me yes they received it and the doctor signed off the medical report and its on its way to the embassy:)

So now hopefully with my calculations I would think the embassy will have all the relevent stuff by monday 2 July and hopefully say give them a week to decide - I dont really see any problems as I have no criminal offences and the medical report seems to be good and our finances are ok - eg. my david earning 25% poverty guidelines etc. So hopefully I will know within next two weeks!!

my question is will they notify me that the courier is gonna deliver on a particular day? How do I know when it will arrive what if I am out of the house that day it arrives? Umm I may have to stay in for the next 2 weeks lol

I feel a bit happier now:)

Thank you all very much in sharing my happiness:) It is stll surprising me when the medical doc told me I needed a pysch evaluation over and over again while I was there and was telling me that i feel the agrophobia is self diagnosed and its not as bad as it sounds blah blah - I guess it was his way to shut me up lol - but now I hear that everything is fine and he doesnt really need the psych evaluation after all and that the GP's letter was suficient after all! and has done the report and sent to the embassy - umm I keep thinking comon there has to be something else go wrong:( But I know I have to stay positive and let the embassy do their job and just wait!

OMG it kicked in!! I AM MOVING TO STATES TO BE WITH THE MAN I LOVE FINALLY!!! LOL whoohooo! and I have so much to do OMG I really have to get a finger out!!!

Thank you all once again:)

Hi Lina! I haven't posted to you before, but I wanted to let you know that I am very happy for you! I'm sure it's a very exciting moment after all this time. I'm sure you have loads to do to keep you occupied until the courier arrives. CONGRATS!!!!

So happy for you Lina!

The courier company are supposed to text you to say the package is on its way but I never received a text. If you're out I assume they leave a note then try to redeliver next day? In which case at least you'd know which day to wait in?

Have you got your house on the market yet?!
Linababe
Hiya Kins:)

Well I dont have a mobile phone so they cant text me - but the courier did take my home number so who knows they may call me:) The house has been on the market for over a month now but my estate agents are not advertising it very actively right now - as I told them I wont sign anything till I actually have my visa in hand - I spoke to them a few days after my interview and they inform me they already have a few investers that may be interested but they are trying to hold out for as much money they can get off them - if all else fails I have a neighbour that definately wants to buy and is offering me £120,000 and I am also able to stay in the house till I get things shipped and sorted ect. I have placed the house on the market for £132,000 so I wil be loosing a bit but the estate agents say they have offers of £125,000 so we shall see:)

I am gonna get Dave in the states to call the DOS line probably on tuesday or wednesday next week to see if we have been approved or not:)

Congrats Lina! In my case the Courier service texted me the day before, saying "your package from the Embassy will arrived tommorow by 10am" (as I'd paid the extra money to get it between 8 and 10am). They said they usually send out text's with an arrival date in "90% of cases" - hopefully you won't be in the 10%!

Just as a caution, I would recommend that you not leave the house for any reason during the courier delivery time window. Sian was at work. They had her number, and were supposed to call when they arrived at St. Georges. They didn't. They didn't try again, call, or anything. We started worrying, and I called the US helpline. They said that the visa had indeed been issued and sent to the courier. So, I called the courier. Yup... they had had it for about a week or so. They couldn't find her at St. George's, so they just took the visa back to their place and left it sitting there.

Ergo, I wouldn't go anywhere at all for several days - once you know the visa has been/will be issued.

Bruce got a text message to alert him to the imminent delivery...six hours after the visa arrived! Thanks dudes, wouldn't have noticed otherwise.

Congratulations. I'm so glad everything went with your medical. I understand about the anxiety and panic attacks. I began to get them during and after my marriage to my ex here in the States after he was abusive. I also suffer from PTSD. I have to have my medical here soon for my AOS after my battered spouse petition was approved and I'm really nervous too, especially as I ended up in a pysche ward because of him. I'm trying to be positive as it was related to the abuse but it's worrying me all the same.

Congratulations again
