I was born in East Sussex but brought up in Richmond Park, then lived all over London; East Dulwich, Blackheath, Hackney, Islington, Archway, Clapham, Wimbledon and Maida Vale. Plus a few years off studying in Norwich and France. We spent the last few months of my time in the UK in Whitstable. Lovely little town but a bugger every weekend for tourists!

Bromley is a BR postcode, but in a London Borough! Although it's in Kent. It's all very confusing.
Maybe we should judge by phone number.. if you had an 0207 or 0208 number, you're from London!
I always say I'm from South London. If you say Kent and people picture rolling hills and apples.. very un Bromley like.
I guess Croydon could be north if you're on the south coast

Oh, and the code for London, unless it changed back within the last 2 years, is 020. Inner London numbers begin with 7 and outer London with 8, but the code is not 0207 or 0208. Pedantic point, I know, but it used to bug me.
