I got my NOA2 on the 18th of may and still no sign of my case at the NVC.
I called almost everyday since then and they have most of the times, been very rude to me.
Yesterday I called and the guy told me to read the noa2 letter for him!!! Can you believe it????
My fiance got it, he sent me a pic of it, so I was able to get it, and while I was looking for it in my documents, and told him to wait a second he said sarcastically "you didnt receive anything, did you?" like I was lying to him!!!
He made me read it and then said the NVC could take up to 90 days to process my case, and no sign of it yet.
ARGHHHHHHH what´s going on with them??? And what the hell is this way of talking to us??
Its been 39 days. =(
Anyone else experiencing it??

We got NOA-2 9 days ago, and all the time we called them they were rough to us as well telling "Ma'm it can take up to 90 days", in thier voice you can hear "don't call wacko.gif anymore, we already told you..." and actually they added that USCIS will send approved cases till they will fill up the box smile.gif But your case sounds strange, as they filled up many boxes already according to applicants timelines here on VJ.

Good luck!

Its a massive conspiracy!!!!! They are intentionally holding all the files until August while they jack the AOS and other filing fees waaaaaay up at the end of July! helpsmilie.gif Call the FBI!!! LOL

One thing that can trigger a nasty response from people is to ask them a question they can't answer. They cannot answer "why" and "how long" questions when they don't have a record of receiving the case yet. Even then, some of those questions can't be answered. My dealings with NVC the three or four times I called them, were all very pleasant but they had the case and could easily answer my questions.

You will never like the stock answers when that's all they have to give you. It only ruins your conversation and mood to complain. They can't help you unless they have information but when they have it, they are happy to give it to you.
AnnaF
We got our approval on June 8, calling NVC almost every day, as well and still nothing sad.gif
payxibka
It also does no good to YELL at the people at NVC when the problem may be resident at the USCIS service center... So to answer your question there is probably nothing different going on at NVC because they are not the source of the issue...

Sapphire,

Our case has been at NVC since May 21st, and we are told we have been 'Randomly' pulled for 'checks' . In other words, AR/AP .

What are the petitions waiting for if they haven't even arrived at NVC yet??

If we look at the Visajourney timeline, the average wait time for CIS to mail to NVC is about 7 days!
Jeremy + Kristy
My NOA2 was June 6, and NVC has still not received my petition yet, either.
TimsDaisy
They did this a bit before my approval came too, if I recall correctly.

I remember reading some similar way-slower waiting times for people approved in April. Then it sped back up again for May people. I don't know if it goes in waves or what - like they wait until they have a box this full to send it on. That's awful though - I really hope it speeds up again for you guys!

Unfortunately, since the problem is probably on the USCIS end, there's not too much to be done proactively to help. You could, of course, contact your congressmember or senator and ask for help. Even if nothing gets immediately resolved, you'll still be helping the greater good. Our representatives won't know there's a problem unless we all tell them. Go to www.house.gov, find your member, contact their district office, ask to speak to the staffer handling immigration casework, and let them know about the slowdown.

Nothing says they can fix it, but they definitely can't fix a problem they don't know about.

Pushbrk, I have NEVER been rude to them, on the contrary, I have been very patient and only call them when I´m calm, speak slowly, ask please, everything.. I know that being rude only makes things worse when it comes to that kind of case...
There were some times when they were (specially women), really nice, and tried to explain that they get thousands of cases each day and everything... but there are also the ones that seem like they´re dealing with cubans trying to jump over a fence or something like that...
40 days, still waiting...

I would do the RFE trick to get your respective service center to see if it left the building. I called the CSC and they told me it was moved to the loading area. It took 8 days after approval to leave for the NVC. After a week I called NVC everyday and they hadn't recieved it. Then one day (the next day again) I called and they not only recieved it but it was sent to the embassy. So be alittle patient. Also , to my suprise the embassies do not produce the interview dates the DOS does. You can call them (202-663-1225) to see when your interview is scheduled. Good luck all!!!!

That depends on the embassy or consulate, I believe.

I´ve tried calling the USCIS 800 375 5283 number but couldnt get it. I tryed the same way I call the NVC and it works.
Do they have another phone number I could call?

There is no number for the CSC. You get directed to them when you inquire about your RFE you never got. You need to enter your receipt number so they know what SC to direct you too. The 202 number is the State Department.

No, they can only tell you if it left for the NVC. You get your case number from the NVC.

humm they talk a lot huh???
what´s the steps to take to talk to a person???
I mean what number to dial?
AnnaF
To inquire whether or not your case has left your service center, call:

USCIS: (800) 375-5283

1-English
2-Main Menu
2-Additional Evidence
4-Additional Evidence
2, 1-Enter your case number

Speak to a representative from your service center!

1-800-375-5283. You press the prompt that asks "did you receive(regarding) a letter from us requesting additional info", then it asks you (it might be before this part of the sequence, I dont remember) if you know your reciept #, press for yes, then enter it, then this should transfer you to your service center. Then you can ask them if you were approved, did it leave for the NVC, etc...

I used this method 3 times. 1, to find out we were approved. 2, to see if it left, was told it was moved to loading area and 3, I was told it left the NVC.

P.S. The USCIS never updated my approval, only after I called to find out I was already approved did it update.

didnt work!!
I pressed all the numbers, and pressed my case number - tryed to press only the numbers, but it didnt work, then I pressed 922 for WAC + the numbers, but it didnt work as well...
How are we supposed to enter our case numbeR? unsure.gif

Keep trying, maybe you did the sequence wrong. It works , you'll get it. I would call to see but I am in Russia and 800 numbers dont apply over here.$$$$
lu_floripa03
you have to dial 1 - 880 - 375 - 5283
so you wont use the toll free (because it only works when calling from us)

anyway... we have to press the letters of our case number as well?
like WAC = 922? or not?
do we have to press a number or symbol when we´re done dialing?
I´m lost! =/

I don't see any point whatsoever in talking to the USCIS customer service representatives. They don't know anything more than you would reading from your notice or email from CRIS.

Either try to get to an immigration officer from the service center servicing your case, or try DOS.

You're welcome! I called NVC today, and they said that they received our case yesterday!

Horray!

But the weird thing is that my husband will have to interview in Naples, Italy. Even though he is Polish, lives in Poland and speaks very little English and no Italian. His medical was also done in Poland already, at the suggestion of one of the consular officers in Krakow, saying that it will be valid for one year. But he might have to go through and pay for yet another one in Italy!

Hope it doesnt happen to you!
But I just explained that so you know that nothing went wrong with my case, so dont freak out if it happens to you (taking long to receive an answer from nvc)

Hey Elmira...
yeah, but last week I finally got to speak to an operator of the California Service Center and found out that they had sent my case to the NVC only in june 21st, that means that it took them 34 days just to send to the NVC!! and yesterday I got an email from the NVC stating they received my case and sending me my case number... so another 8 days for it to arrive at the NVC and get processed...
Hope it doesnt happen to you!
But I just explained that so you know that nothing went wrong with my case, so dont freak out if it happens to you (taking long to receive an answer from nvc)
Good luck with your case!!

Thank you for support good.gif I will relax till 18 July, anyway it will bring more time for my Fiance to prepare all papers needed for my interview.... Hopefully our case will be delievered by NVC by 18 July smile.gif

Dont worry, hopefully you´ll get your case sent to your consulate way before that!!
=)
