Just wanted to share with you the good news! I attended the interview with my fiancee and was able to speak to the consular who was nice. I think it makes a diffenrence to be there and I highly recommend it if your circumstances allow.

You can attend the interview in Cairo. You can also speak with the consular if you have any questions.

Sure didn't let me at the window. unsure.gif Who knows, maybe Cairo is changing their ways.

Your interview was in Cairo though? Congrats on a successful interview.

Yes it was in Cairo. I think if one can make it to the sitting area inside the embassy, then it won't be a problem to walk to the window when your fiance/fiancee name is called. I think the look and the way one dressed and also the way one conduct him/herself are very important to reach the window. I was standing few steps away from the window behind my fiancee when the consular wondered who I was. Then she asked to speak to me and she was nice.

I was right in there waiting with him and I looked good wink.gif All the lady did was look me up and down and ask why he would want to marry me.......I had two kids! blink.gif Then she told me I could not be at the window. Oh well. Water under the bridge good.gif

Congrats! Your case is very impressive. I am in the process of getting a K-1 Visa for my fiance. The US Embassy in Cairo received our file in April 2007 also, but we are still in AP.

Did your fiancee receive her 3.5 packet at her Sudan residence? (We had problems with the mail)

Which doctor did the packet 3.5 assign her to? (We had problems with scheduling our doctor because he required additional papers that the US Embassy did not inform us of.)

I am glad that you were able to attend the Interview with your fiancee. How long did it take you to get your Visa stamp for Egypt interview?

Thanks for listening.
