There's a housing program where I live where if you meet certain income requirements and are buying a home in a certain area, you'll be eligible for a $5000 grant. If my wife and I apply is she(non-USC) eligible for this or will it be considered income? Thanks.

I would not think this would be counted as income its a grant!

Cetainly not income but the question would be is the grant money available to applicants who are non-USC's?

I called the organization and they said we could apply as long as my wife has a green card, which we're waiting on, so I guess I'll be applying solo. Thanks for everyone's advice!
