Full Version: Lagos Embassy
This morning I received an e-mail from a member of VJ who informed me that their interview date was being changed. That they got a call from the Lagos Embassy that all people with interview dates for July are being changed. As a matter of fact their interview was scheduled for July 3, 2007 and has now been moved back to August 21, 2007. I thought about it and decided that if this is true then it has to have something to do with the strike that the banks are going through. This VJ member said that the embassy said it is because of lack of employees. My question is has anyone elses interview been changed because of this reason? Has other members whose interview is in July and will be having interviews at the Lagos Embassy interview changed to a later or earlier date?
My husband's interview is scheduled for July 16th, and I haven't heard anything about it being changed. When did your friend receive her call?

She said her fiance got a call on June 11, 2007 and she sent an email to the Lagos Embassy to make sure this was right and on June 15, 2007 she got an e-mail from the embassy saying that his appointment was changed to August 21, 2007.

Hmmm... I don't think this is true because our interview is also in july,11th of july to be precised and we haven't heard anything from the consulate about it being changed or anything like that.. I will advice to tell your friend to go to US consulate and make the inquiry in person for better understanding.

Sorry but I think you may be confused.. I am positive that the date was moved as I am their sponsor as this is causing me to have to redo my affadavit of support.. they are not k3 either they are cr1 but dur to the date they will be ir1

felshen pls how long did it take yr friend to get an interview date for thier cr1/ir1, after it was completed at NVC.

The initial interview took over 5 months because they only schedule a few interviews each month, but I will check with her to verifythe exact time frame
