I leave from gatwick on thursday afternoon, good luck to all others leaving this week, i noticed theres a couple more.
Now what form do i fill in on the plane, the white one right? Then when i arrive i have my brown envolope on show? and what line do i get in? thanx in advance. Im dreading it as my POE is philadelphia and ive heard bad stuff about using that as POE, plus ive already had one bad experience there before.

Hubby says it's a white form, I-94 - do not use the green one (visa waiver) he said the airline kept trying to give him the green one.

Just go to the Non-US citizen line, as you would if you were visiting, and show them your envelope - they will then (probably) take you somewhere to process you.

Don't sweat the PoE, we were all sorts of freaked out about Newark as a POE after seeing some less than stellar reviews and having a previous crappy experience, but he was processed in less than 5 mins and he beat me outside the airport as his flight landed early. Was quite shocked to turn around and see them behind me.

Just keep thinking "Philly is the city of brotherly love" Good luck with everything!

Thankyou and good luck with the rest of your journey. rose.gif

I'm not a fan of Philly either but it will be fine -- don't worry. Yes, they are the moodiest barstewards this side of the coast, but just think how lucky you are that you're not them. yes.gif

I have to agree! I've had some non-pleasant times there, but they are just...strange.

I've had good POE through there too, with the visa you'll be fine!
Have a good trip!

You fill out the white I-94 form - do NOT fill out the green one. They gave me that one and somehow I thought it wasn't right. After explaining my situation, they gave me the correct form. You also have to fill out a customs form which asks you what you are carrying in your bags. Be sure to be honest. I had a forget-me-not plant that my neighbor gave me before I flew here. It was in a blue pot with seeds in it. I saw on the customs slip that it asked if I was carrying plant seeds so I put a checkmark by it. When the customs officer checked my bag and found it, she said it was good that I answered honestly because had I lied, I would have had a $300 fine! LOL .. They did take my flower seeds though :*(

The line you go through is the one that says visitor, tourist, etc.

They will ask you for your brown envelope when you get to the little booth thing.

Wow, can you please make that type in your siggie smaller? Thanks.

Can we keep requests like this in PMs please, because it is nothing to do with the topic at hand.

Any future problems with siggys should be kept to PM or the Captain or a mod informed.

Thanks, everyone! biggrin.gif Now, back to topic! laughing.gif
