The closest one to us is 2 hours away in Quebec, Canada. We go now and again just for the excuse to breeze through Duty free and stock up on English Cadburys. blush.gif I've been to a couple in the US, and I must say wasn't impressed with how they managed the store. Couldn't find a thing and walked out with nowt. Still, better than the queues you'd have to endure in Croydon on a Saturday afternoon. rolleyes.gif

Sorry, IKEA does nothing for me. The furniture reminds me of college dorm stuff.

hehe I did the same thing when they opened one in MI! I have an IKEA obsession and luckily so does Paul! The stuff is cheap, but that fits my student budget very well wink.gif

That brought back rather nasty memories. The Ikea in Croydon STILL has cars queuing to get in every Saturday morning. Absolutely crazy!

Just the sight of those blue and yellow chimney things as I used to drive past would make me shudder!

Lakeside was a little bit more civilized.

We have one in Pittsburgh, Dave refuses to go as he says they "trick" you into buying stuff by making you walk through the whole store to get out laughing.gif

laughing.gif We all did the Croydon thing then. Geez, wasn't it a nightmare? The other problem was actually trying to find the bleedin road it was on. I'd end up driving around those effing chimneys forever. Happy days. content.gif
