I so hope I have time to get some of the Montreal poutine. It's been over 5 years since I had that glorious bucket of fries, cheese and gravy from it's homeland. I remember this super little poutine shop on St. Catherines but don't know if I'll have time to find it. I remember it was open late b/c we hit it after the clubs. If not I hope this is a street vendor nearby to get my fix. Maybe I'll even splurge and get myself a smoked meat sandwich..... I can't wait and am dreaming about those lovely curds everynight. Oh, yes, I guess while I'm on my poutine quest I will have to stop by the US consulate for that damn interview. They better be quick.... and realize I am on my mission.

It's been a long time since I've been to Montreal, well, back in 2003 and then 1990 before that... There is this place on in Pointe Claire out on the west island (suburb of Montreal), and they had the greatest smoked meat sandwiches and a variety of them... Chenoy's it was called.

If I wasn't so full... I could use one now....

Best smoked meat sandwiches in all of Montreal. Schwartz up on St. Laurent. It's only a small place but well worth the wait in the line up

Enjoy ur poutine!! In my airforce days, pilots had to (and still do) conduct training missions, many times, just day trips! Quebec was always a favorite destination, so they could get the curd cheese! Others when put their orders in,lol Best of luck on the interview
