Well after a month and a half of waiting for it, I FINALLY have the results from my medical exam.

Anyways, now I have a new problem. Where am I supposed to safeguard the X-Ray for another 3-4 months?

It wouldn't be as much of a problem if I was going to be staying here in Canada so I could make sure it was okay, but I'm travelling soon, and there's no way I plan on taking that big thing with me. lol

Also, they stapled the sealed package with my medical papers (I assume - the package that says "DO NOT OPEN") to my X-Ray envelope - would it matter if I took the staples off? I could find a place to safeguard those papers much more easily... so that then the only "problem" would be the X-Ray...

You do not need to carry the medical results with you while traveling. Just carry your K1 package if you are asked at the border. I just left my medical results at home whenever I travelled.

I know I don't need to carry them while travelling... I'm asking about a place to keep them when I can't look after them myself at home since I don't plan to take the X-Ray with me... The X-Ray is just too big to "hide" anywhere; with tons of children running around at my house it makes things a bit difficult and I'm afraid it would get trampled on or opened accidentally... helpsmilie.gif

But thanks anyway!

Between a mattress and boxspring would be a good place. From what I've read I dont think it is all that important now. I think they take Xrays to check for TB and now the x-rays are for you to keep. Someone please correct me if i am wrong.

The wicket lady at Montreal told me it was just to give to the US Dr. when I got here for reference. They didn't ask to see it at either Montreal or POE (Calais).. I think everything you need for your x-ray is in your sealed envelope.. the x-ray is just for your use from what the lady at the consulate told me.

I rolled mine up with an elastic and threw it in my closet (high shelf). Actually, all my important papers are hidden away like that because of my destructive cats. tongue.gif

That's like the safest place ever! No one would find or mess with it there!
