Hi,

My fiance will be coming in on a K1 in Miami. Are there any entrance fees that one must pay when entering the US? I know I've had to pay to enter other countries.

Thanks,

JGL

None. Your fiance will pay a visa fee of $100 in the home country.

No but depending on the country you are leaving from, you may pay a departure tax. And some countries like Indonesia, have a special tax (about $100) for residents leaving the country along with the international departure tax (about $10).

There is an I-94 fee of $6, which would have been already charged to the traveller (in the "taxes and other" portion of the total airticket payment).

(actually, every airticket entering US charges this fee, even if the traveller is a GC holder or US citizen).

Most of those fees are already included in the ticket price. But of course things might vary from country to country. You can check with the airline your fiancee is taking for more info.
