My check was cashed on June 15, and I registered for an account on USCIS as suggested to keep updated on touches, etc. My portfolio for my case on the USCIS website said that my petition was received on June 12 and they mailed me a letter of notice stating this and how my case would be processed. I still have not received this letter, but will this be the NOA1? Or is the NOA1 clearly marked as such on the portfolio? I am under the impression that the NOA1 usually comes before the check is cashed, so I'd like to know if June 12 was our actual NOA1 date. Thanks for any help! And many thanks goes to CaptainEwok for the guides and lists on RFEs, touches, etc. Those are great!

The letter you get is the NOA1.
The date of the notice is the NOA1 date.

Great! I was hoping that was the case. And as a side note, how do you get the flags and countdowns to appear on your signature? Those are great! Thanks for the quick reply:)

Good job with getting your check cashed good.gif

I'd really wish there was some consistancy in this...how one person gets theirs in less than a week it seems and others go a month. wacko.gif

Congratulations on your first step of the journey. You should use the expected three month wait to prepare any additional documents and get your home prepared for your new arrival. It looks like you will have an exciting autumn this year assuming nothing slows it down otherwise.

Learn to be patient. You will see a flurry of touches now that you are signed up for notification and then it will just sit. Use this time for preparation. If you constantly check the web site looking for touches your frustration will grow.

If you should receive any RFE (request for evidence) jump on that right away. But, for the most part it will be a lonely summer for you. Hopefully your last lonely summer.

Good luck.

Yes, it is frustrating to say the least. I hope you get yours soon! BTW, how do you put flags on your signature? I can't find that option anywhere! Thanks again:)

Countdown: if you click on the countdown I have it will take you to a website where you can create one of your own. When it is created it will give you a code you can cut and paste to your signature. Make sure you use the BB code.

Flags: You can find those here. You can also google to find other animations if you don't find what you want there.

Enjoy!!!

Nice job!!!

THANK YOU! So now it's on to how I put on the countdown like you have with the days at times since your NOA1. Any suggestions there?
