not sure I understand your question... I received both the extension letter and the scheduling for fingerprints on the same day and walked in to get my fingerprints taken that same week. My online status still only says that they received my petition and sent me a notice (current status: case received and pending) but it was touched the day after I had my fingerprints taken.

Yes, AOS approved without interview. Her GC expires 15 Nov 2007 so we are now applying for removal of conditions I-751. It has been two years so I do not remember our old VisaJourney user ID or password so i created a new one.

Also, for AOS she was transfered from TSC to CSC.

To those who have already received their biometrics appointment. I am just curious if the application support center is assigned on the letter or you can pick any application support center to go to. I recall when I had my AOS, I had to call and pick a APC. I am not sure if that is still the case.

now they tell you exactly where and when... if you don't like it and want to reschedule the appointment notice says to mail it in with a new appointment request. Or you can do it like I did: just try your luck by walking into the ASC.

So it would seem that if you are going thru Texas you stand a good chance of being transferred into california? Wonder what California has that all the rest of the centres don't have that they can process faster?
Also have Texas been behind for some time in order for them to be transferrig cases?

They should do day trips to these places so we can all ask questions!

Yeah! You'll probably see your checks post to your bank soon. And, your file is definitely at CSC already as they have forwarded all I-751s sent to TSC after July 1.

It's interesting because I checked our online account last night and the checks were not posted yet. They only showed up this morning (my I-751 and my son's biometrics fees).

Any good reason to send in your I-751 early, as opposed to towards the end of the 90 day window?

It's probably a matter of personality. I'm the type who doesn't want to wait for the last minute in case I make a mistake the first time around and the entire packet is returned to me. I would hate to be rushed because my GC is almost expiring and I don't have an extension NOA yet.

so I don't really care if it expires.

Hi again everyone. I have been patiently waiting for my check to be cashed by Nebraska (almost a month since I sent in my application) and woo hoo it is showing on my bank account at last. I clicked on the check image and found that the back has been stamped by California Svc Centre. Do you think we have been transferred there again??? Can't wait to get my NOA1 to find out. Has anyone else looked at the back of their check?

Yes, that was the first thing I did when I saw the check had cleared ... pulled up the image and checked for a service center number. Sure enough, it showed WACxxxxxxxxxx. So, yes, your file was transferred to and received at the CSC. Here's hoping for a quick processing for all of us!

Just wondering,

When speaking to someone about all this immigration stuff they told me, and was just wodering if anyone else thought the same, that the whole year (from 2004 until 2005) that I waited for my conditional green card to be processd that that would count toward my citiizenship application, inclusive of my conditional green card and my one year waiting for it that that is the 3 years? anyone else hear that?

I am waiting for my husband to call the line and ask as I know if I call they won't understand what Im saying

Unfortunately, that's not true. The three year requirement for eligibility to naturalize starts from the date the first green card is granted. So, the basis will be the Resident Since date.

Eauexplain, great news then (well it was good news when we got sent to CSC for AOS!). But yes, imagine getting excited about money coming out of the bank account!

Gemma, as far as I understand it, the three years for citizenship start counting from the date of your first conditional greencard. In fact I read somewhere here that you can apply even if your lifting of conditions hasn't been approved by the time the 3rd anniversary comes around.
