This has already been asked. Here is a link:

My question is why was your thread moved here? The Philippines thread would be a more appropiate place for your question.

Claudeth and her Mom stayed at the Bayview and seemed to like it. I believe it is right across the street from the embassy. My friend that lives on Mindanao always stays at the Swagman when he goes to Manila but that is a bit of a seedy place.

Forget staying near the embassy. Go to Makati and stay in the Peninsula Manila.
Its a 6 star hotel and worth every penny. Ask for a room in the old tower and on the pool side (away from the road).
Its 145 night and includes a full breakfast. Its pure luxury.

See pics bottom of page.......

We like staying at the Tropicana Apartment Hotel in Malate. It's a pretty good walk to the Embassy from there, but the price is not bad if you are on a budget. The Tropicana has a nice pool and is close to the Robinson's Mall. Below is their website.

If you want a place right near the airport try The Heritage. It's got big clean rooms and the food is great. It's about $120/night with free breakfast.

I suggest you stay near the US embassy and St. Luke's, especially if you don't know how bad the traffic can get here in manila. Bayview is just right across the embassy's entrance, it'll be very convenient.

Stayed at Lotus Garden for medical. Clean 2900P and 5 minute walk to St. Lukes. Jollibee and MacDonalds across the street. Anak loved it!
Bayview for interview. 3100P . No Jollibee close. Anak didn't like it!!! Mainly no Jollibee!! unsure.gif

I stayed twice at the City State Towers (on Mabini street in Ermita) and liked it. Nice rooms, free breakfast, 2 blocks from the Robinson's mall and one block from the Baywalk

Heritage Hotel Manila

Conveniently located near to the airport

If you book your room at the Heritage Hotel Manila thru asiarooms.com the cost is $85 for standard, very nice room with plenty of ammenities ..

When Mylene and I stayed there, I had them to lock up the snack bar so I wouldn't have to give a deposit for it, which may or may not have be returned when we checked out..

The breakfast was good too, but depending on the time you leave in the morning that factor may not apply.

Mylene has a room reserved there on July 15th for her flight out on the 16th. I am unsure how good the airport limo service is there, but her bags will weigh much more than her and Ashley combined so she will definately need assistance from the hotel to the airport. (Philippine to America travel by Northwest Airlines allows checked baggage - 2 per passenger, 70 pounds each .. in our case, a total weight of 280 pounds)

Bayview Park Hotel

I couldn't find an online booking agent that could beat the direct booking at the hotel.

Conveniently located directly across from the US Embassy

Cost for a standard room is $54 and they only require a 10% deposit on your credit card ($5.40)

Mylene has a room reserved for the July 8th as her interview is July 9th.

Good Luck ..

the Boulevard Mansion is a short 4 minute walk from the embassy it was clean and only 1850 php a night or about 40 dollars a night with two free breakfasts a day, rooms had a kitchen in them so you could cook if you stayed more then a couple of days. I had friends stay there too and they were happy with it too.
