No. However, you should have made a complete copy of the entire package before you mailed it out to the NVC. That should be sent to your husband to take to the interview at the Consulate.

The interviewing officer can and does ask for anything that you have already sent in, so you should send husband copies of everything sent in to USCIS, and NVC so far, as well as the origionals of any evidence that you sent copies of to USCIS, and NVC.

I called the embassy before the interview to make sure they had all my papers. It was next to impossible for me to get a copy of my i864 because I was already in peru. I asked if I needed a copy and they said no. Then I asked to make sure they have my i864, she said she had it and I definitely would not need to bring a copy. We went to the interview and we were fine without any copies.

I just sent the consulate in casablanca an email asking th same thing.here is thier answer :


Dear Sir:



If your wife has already submitted an affidavit of support along with her tax return to NVC, you do not need to provide a copy of them.

No. They never ask an immigrant visa applicant whether the petitioner has given them the copies of everything.
