Does anyone understand exactly what this means? USCIS Issues Service Center Receipting Update: http://www.visajourney.com/news/2007/05/27...eipting-update/

What I got from it was that applications received before the posted date would be completed within the regular processing time. What about the ones received later? Am I completely misunderstanding this?

Thanks guys

I think that's the dates by which they mail out receipt for the processing of those forms. Some of the centers have been playing catch-up on mailing out documents for the past month or so.

It doesn't seem to address processing times - rather, just the times for mailing out the actual, physical receipts. That's how I read it anyway.

But since none of them directly apply to the K1 (some are K3 and AOS related, I think??), can't really say much else. I could be wrong too.

The article only addresses receipts or as we are want to call them, NOA1.

USCIS receives "petitions" not "applications". The article does not mention processing time.
