Well,

Today is our 3rd wedding anniversary and tomorrow is my 52nd birthday. It is hard to believe it has been 3 years already - certainly doesn't feel like it has been that long. Hehe, my two youngest cats have lived in the States longer than they lived in Canada!

I like to joke that if Joe forgets our anniversary then I get a really good birthday present the next day, but the dear man has already given me a wonderful combined Anniversary and birthday present - a new digital camera. I have already taken my first pictures with it but have to read up the instructions to find out all of the other neat things it does.

Now just another 8 months to go and I can apply to remove conditions on my green card:-).

Derek and I did the same thing twice. We had our first wedding right after Derek's birthday and our second one right before mine. Figured we would be less likely to forget that way!

Im a firm believer that figuring out the language of the digi cams requires a degree from MIT. I have a great camera but its wasted on me as I dont know what half the settings mean

Yeah, I know what you mean about the camera - I think it does everything except windows! I am working my way through the instruction booklet but I did figure out how to take pictures and how to review them so that is good:-).

Happy Happy Anniversary and Birthday Kathryn! So glad to see a marriage withstanding this process! Those 8 months will go by fast and before you know it, you'll have your 10 yr GC. Joel and I are about to celebrate our first anniversary in a few weeks...it doesn't feel like it's been a whole year since he came home, which initially was May 13 last year. Hope your special days are indeed special. Oh and good luck with the camera!

We did the same thing last year got married on my birthday so my hubby should never forget or he is a dead man LOL.

Cameras are easy. Toss the instruction manual in a drawer somewhere and just play with teh buttons a while. You'll figure out what they all do eventually. Just when it says "Delete ALL?" Say NO unless you really do want to delete all your pictures.
