Go to the Embassy website for Moscow and click visa services and fiance visa then you will see where you click for appointment schedules. You will need your NVC case number.

Google that isht!
"U.S. embassy Moscow" will get it for you, first link.
Click on Visas, then fiance(e) visas, then scroll down a little, and it will say "Online Immigrant Appointment schedule Information" you click that, it will take you one more page with a list of visa types, click on it... and then the master list appears! Scroll though to find yours!

You can call the US State Dept in DC and they will tell you the interview date. This is how I found out, before the case arrived in Moscow.

You want to tell me that the folks in DC tell Moscow what date they must see you for an interview? It's news to me. I was under the impression that the consulates pretty much had free reign on how they handle their business. I do understand they belong to the state department, but had no idea interview scheduling which is a pretty small internal affair is also handled from the top.

A foreign embassy gest its marching orders from the State Dept.
My information is 2 years old, but back then I called them in DC, and they told me in about 2 minutes the date of the interview. This was before the case left the NVC. I wish that I had the number handy, it was a local DC number.

I am gonna try it tomorrow when they are open (Eastern time) they were already closed when I tried now...It's certainly worth at least calling to ask! I sent an e-mail to the embassy, but the automatic reply says it could take 3 or more business days to get a reply...
I already have a ticket for Aug 24th (I bought it before we got our NOA2) and it would be SO great (and lucky) if I could be there at the same time...mostly we'd just like to know WHEN the interview will be

The trouble here is in thinking that the schedule posted on the "web page" is the source information. The interview schedule (whether created by the Embassy or DOS in DC) is probably generated a week or more before it makes it to the "web page". I also called DOS and got the interview date before it was posted on the web.

I wish I knew this information before hand. Because our interview date didn't get posted until at least 6 or 8 weeks from the time we got our NOA2. I called the NVC then but only asked if the case was sent to Moscow and they said yes. And that was 4 weeks after the NOA2. I was getting worried because people had received letters confirming this, but I never did.

So I just called the Department of State, and found out that the embassy already sent the packet 3 to Seryozha, even though he hasn't received it. I also found out that our interview is on August 23rd! So for anyone who has left NVC about 1 week or more ago, they could probably start trying, for us it has been out of NVC for 2 weeks this coming Monday. Wow, just 2 months to prepare!!!!

I was talking to a live person (I am not sure there is an automated system for visa info?), and I waited about 5 minutes, but I called 8:30 eastern time, right when they open. But when you call, you have to listen to a whole thing about passports for US citizens, then press, 1 for the main menu, THEN listen to the WHOLE menu before you can press 0 to talk to a person. If we left NVC the same day we probably were in the same package, so it might be that we even have the interview the same day

Let me know when you hear...Thanks for the congratulations. This is the number that you should call: 202-663-1225

Do you guys notice other Americans when you're overseas? When I was walking on Red Square one day, I saw three young men walking together and they looked somewhat out of place. I thought to myself "these guys have to be American." Sure enough, when they got a little closer, I could hear in English "I (expletive deleted) love the Hungry Duck. There are so (expletive deleted) many (expletive deleted) there that like to (expletive deleted) and (expletive deleted). I can't (expletive deleted) wait to get to that (expletive deleted) club tonight so we can (expletive deleted) some more dirty (expletive deleted)."
They were in the military too, as evidenced by their "fashionable" hair cuts and choice of sophisticated language.
Sad fact is, we stick out like a sore thumb just about anywhere we go.

Let me know if you are actually gonna have your interview on the 23rd...That would be really funny to meet outside. Hopefully we will have nice weather. I don't stick out in Russia, because my family is Russian, and I don't speak English outside, but I can say that even in Poland I can spot other Americans from miles away. The funniest though are the Germans, that ALWAYS walk in large groups, with their hands behind their backs

and the British people are always speaking VERY loudly

I hope that doesn't offend anyone, just some observations...

I was going to say something about Germans sticking out too, but didn't want to offend anyone. There are a good number of Germans and Italians here.
Americans - actually I know of 2 other than me. They are 6 months and 3 years old, so I don't believe that they stick out.

At least in Russia we have a shot of fitting in. We could rock the tight shirts and black socks, keep our mouths shut and chain smoke while we were waiting.
Try doing that outside the embassy in Seoul! There's no way you could fit in there. The embassy in Lagos would probably have most of us sticking out as well.
Funny thing is, the one place we'd probably almost fit in, is Berlin.

DHL process is explained in the packet, but basically it boils down to this -
The beneficiary goes to the DHL office, gets a prepaid slip, then gives that to the C/O at the interview detailing where the approved visa will be sent. It can contain special instructions "to be held at DHL office in Moscow" or whichever DHL office or residence your S/O desires to receive it. If you elect to have it held at the office, it's possible to pick it up the next day after the interview. (Possible. Depends on visa issuance date. All up to the embassy. Usually next day, but could be more. I'm sure if your S/O explained the time crunch, they could expedite it for her.)
Not sure of packet size (never actually saw it) but if it doesn't fit, they'll still get it to her. She'll have to pick it up, or they'll knock really loud at her door!
If you're only a day away from Milenka, you won't miss her at all. You'll be in Moscow at the same time. Have some coffee. Better yet, have a beer! Sure wish I was gonna be there too!
Awesome news, GOOD LUCK!!!

It's a standard full paper envelope. It is not even 1/2 an inch thick. But it is delivered by the Russian postal system. So I doubt they'll go out of their way to hand deliver or make a big effort to give it to her.

For the first two weeks, I tried to understand everything. It is a lot of effort trying to understand a language you don't fully comprehend. Very tiring. I could follow pieces of conversations for about half an hour. Very tiring. By the last week, I essentially gave up. Russian has improved, but I need to be back in class this fall.
I am better at reading and writing than speaking still. Conversational Russian I starts in August - should help me for next time.

I called the DOS number on Wednesday and asked if they knew when the interview would be. The person I spoke with told me that Moscow had the electronic version of the file but didn't have the hardcopy yet. Further, she said that the embassy wouldn't schedule the interview until they had the hardcopy of the file.
It sounded, to me, like the embassy schedules the interview and Washington is among the first to know. I'll call again next week.
