My lawyer just told me his price for the waiver 175 a hour he can do a amazing wonderful one in 40 hours or a crappy one in a hour well 40 hours at 175 is $7000 with no guarentee it will be approved what do u guys think?

$ 7000 is a lot.. The good news is that you can write your waiver yourself and the approval rate in Mexico is 90 %!
There are a lot of members who are going through Mexico and most of them, don't use a lawyer.

I would agree with what Butterfly is saying, $7000 for a waiver!!!!! Forget it!
the most important thing about a "good" waiver is preparation and construction, definately go to immigrate2us.net, read through the examples of approved waivers, that's all you need! and that's what we did. All the sucessful waivers I've read never paid one cent to an immigration lawyer
do not waste any money on that!

Unfortunately I did not find VJ or I2US till after I had a lawyer do my I-601.It costs me $2000.Our waiver was approved through Mexico but I think it still would have been approved even if I did everything myself.$7000 is just crazy
