Are beneficiaries required to submit their documents to VFS? Or does it just help move things faster at the interview? The VFS office closest to where my wife lives is a day's journey wacko.gif We want to avoid it.

but dont forget to submit the documents 10-15 days prior to interview
those who dont submit the documents have hard time submitting them during the day of interview .

As I posted in the interview roundup, my suggestion is to submit the paperwork prior to the interview. This will help cut your time at the embassy a great deal. We noticed that the people who waited until the day of the interview to submit their paperwork ended up having to go into several different ques before being summoned to the window for their interview. My suggestion would be to submit the paperwork to the VFS prior to the interview.

Good luck

All the instructions state that you need to submit the paperwork to the VFS office before the interview. Make sure it is 10-15 WORKING days before, that means that Saturday, Sunday and all Consulate holidays are NOT included in the count.

It may be inconvenient due to the long trip to submit the paperwork, but it really will be worth it in the end, the interview process will go a LOT faster because your paperwork will be thoroughly reviewed before the interview.

its always better to file the papers before interview..

Thanks for all your replies..I'm hoping I can go to the Mumbai VFS office instead of the one in my state. There's a travel time difference of 4-5 hours.
