So in the never ending quest for documents, i have been told at various govt agencies that i need to have certian forms LEGALIZED, such as the penal history, but others have told me that the particular document do not need to be legalized, like the police certificate. Of the three background certificates, judicial, penal, and police, which do i need to take to the ministerio de relaciones exteriores and have legalized? I asked when we picked up the judicial background certificate, but the guy at the window didnt know.
our interview is next monday, so iŽll be done asking questions for a while... until AOS...

My husband didn't need anything "legalized". Here's what the Embassy website says about the police certificates:

Applicants must provide three police certificates:

CERTIFICADO DE LA POLICIA NACIONAL (EX-PIP) (Address: Av. Aramburu, Lima)
CERTIFICADO DE ANTECEDENTES PENALES DEL PODER JUDICIAL (Address: Av. Abancay Poder Judicial, Lima)
CERTIFICADO DE ANTECEDENTES JUDICIALES (a nivel nacional) (Address: INPE, Jr. Carabaya 456, Lima)

That's it. Hope this helps a little smile.gif

And here's the Embassy website address: http://peru.usembassy.gov/visageneral.html
