Ok folks - I am sure this has been answered elsewhere but I began wondering....

Besides the interview letter and instructions for the medical... what else comes with "packet 4"? Is it the same for K visas than for CR1-IR1 and DCF?

Foolish question, but better ask than reman blink.gif oblivious and be surprised (and not in a good way). Your answers will help us all !!!!

Peace, L.
Krikit
To the best of my recollection, "Packet 4" for the K-1 Visa was the interview appointment letter. Packet 3 contained the checklist and medical information.

Thanks krikit. Found the VJ review of MTL:

http://www.visajourney.com/consulates/inde...mp;cty=Montreal

It mentions the contents of packet 4 - wonder if there have been any changes????

Holy crap. How do you remember all that? laughing.gif

Ditto to Flames' post. My 2006 package had the same instructions.

No, I still have all my immigration crap (for the most part) in a binder!! The same binder that made the trip to Mtl.

If I remember correctly ours was several months old...didn't seem to be a problem. My husband (then fiancé) was approved. His interview lasted FIVE minutes...two questions...

You ARE going to be ok Joe...I do understand the stress, my husband felt it too, but once it was over he couldn't believe he was so stressed about it.

tinker - I am pretty sure you need the IRS transcripts of your SO's tax returns to attach to the Affidavit of Support (I-864) - at least for the last year and optional three previous years - but they do need to be included.

Um can you guys call him and tell him that laughing.gif
Alrighty, he's coming next month, that should give him enough time, if he can tear himself away from drywall for a few hours wacko.gif

Thanks!!

You have to see what process she is going through before posting. She is a K1 applicant and she will need an I-134 and not the I-864 for her interview in Montreal. See instructions on supporting documents.

laughing.gif Thanks! Glad I didn't spaz over the I-184, didn't even notice that part.
It's all good, he said he'd grab 2006's anyway for me. smile.gif
I asked because it did say I only needed it if self employed, but everyone seems to have them.
Lance27
Better to have it with you than for them to ask and you not have it. I got my wife's 2006 Tax return which I will be carrying but will not attach to any of the documents. I have 2 pay stubs and will be getting a more recent one once I have my interview date, Letter from Bank and Letter from Employer. which I will include along with the affidavit of support I-134 for proof.

Tinker
I agree, looking at what's in the CR1.....and other's, looks the same as the K1.
It's really not so bad once you get through the medical and police check......well the birth certificate was hell for me.
Think we're all good till the day before the interview helpsmilie.gif
