My interview is on 27th June for CR-1. I wanna confirm that we can pay fee usd 380 in cash at emasssy. Because i dont want to carry draft with me..

how did your case complete at the nvc stage if u didnt pay the immigrajnt visa fee at national visa center
u were supposed to pay the fee that time itself unless u have done a DCF.

please fill in your timelines either in signature or in the timeline section as per your convinience,

v filed in delhi in mid of April. There we have to pay fee for filing of I-130 only and this fee is paid at the time of interview. Ur writing Cr1 also.. Did u file in U.S.......

thats the difference u did dcf - its called direct consular filing if u filed in delhi
we filed in october 2006 from the us itself
when is your interview ?????
in case of dcf u have to pay the fees during the interview itself they will let u know
u have to keep draft ready ,

ya it was dcf...i had to leave my job 6 months back....bcoz of this dcf...and i came back to india from africa...
i hv submitted my foreign police report also.....tats y just concened abt ap thing also.....
v file on in april mid....
filed papers on 27th april....
got interview date on 9th may...
filed remaining papers on 6th june....
nd now interview...

u did nt get interview date from October....well tats long too.....

it might be of concern if u left job from africa
but if u are an indian i dont think they will harass u more
i know its too long but thats what really happens when we file from united states but there are even people and members who r lagging behind me in cr-1 process filed form us

do v need appy ssn separately or it comes automatically with green card......

i think if sandip or rose or somebody else who has idea sees this post can tell more if we get ssn before gc or both at the same time
i am myself not that sure
but the conditional gc will be received with in 30 days the day u enter united states

You need to go to the social Security Administration office to apply for your SSN after you receive your green card.
You can look at the form you will need to fill out here http://ssa.gov/online/ss-5.pdf

but mala,
as v r doing cr1 visas, v don't need to apply separately for ssn. this reply i got from some other posts...
also when i filled ds-230 part ii.... there was a column for ssn to be assigned...

so i think v dont need to go for it.....it comes itself...

police reports since the age of 16yrs
8)
affidavit of support not needed if already submitted
9)
medical report

btw whr did u get done your medical from ?

I was under the impression that Delhi does not allow DCF now... however, it seems like it does. can someone clarify that for me. thanks.

ya they do..v did tat..but the prior condition for u.s citizen to stay here was 90 days before filing till 1st june,2007.
present u check with embassy website..it may b six months now. but not sure.....
