Does anyone know how long a default divorce takes in California? Things seem to be taking forever and a day. Is there anyway to speed it up? Especially, with the impending fee increase fast approaching.
Thanks for any information. Or if I have posted in the wrong area please redirect the posting.

You have to wait 6 months before anything happens, no matter if it's a contested or uncontested divorce.

I am just anxious, as the orginial paper work was signed November 3, 2006 and there was no response; the default divorce process was started in mid January of 2007.

Mine was supposed to have taken six months but the court made a mistake on the date so had to wait an additional three months for the final.
