Hi,

On average how long does it take for NVC to receive a case. I called to see whether they received it or not and they said it can take up to 90 days...is this true?

Also if everything is done properly how long can the NVC process last. I was going to post this in the NVC forum but it seemed to full of K1 filers so I thought I would post it here.

Hope some can answer my question.

First answer: about 2 weeks
Second Answer: about 3 months

it really can take the full 3 months for NVC to get your case into the system. ours did, but along every step we seem to be the outlier. hopefully you'll have better luck

I mentioned the usual time based on my experience with the process plus others' timelines. Sorry to hear that yours took about 3 months to go to NVC.

Also keep in mind that if you choose to use James' shortcuts, it can take take less at the NVC, 2 months or less on average.

Yes, if you are lucky, then it can take about 2 months. I did everything I could including James' shortcut to speed up our case. It took us about two and a half months from assigning our case number to case completion.

yup, you can just use our timeline as the longest estimate. Whoo hoo 15 months for I130 to be approved with no RFEs. Our file is apparently flagged-"toss in corner and forget at every opportunity"
