First of all, this is all so new to me, that I dont even understand all the abbreviations yet! My question is this... If I am a widow, and partially handicapped, how can I sponsor my fiance to come here? Also, I am going to the uk to be with him soon, and we are thinking of getting married there. Will this make, getting his visa, easier to get, or harder? He is not a citizen of the UK, he is there working. I am not getting any younger, and have been alone a long time. We have known each other for 4 yrs now, but my upcoming trip to uk, will be our first face to face meeting. All of this visa stuff just confuses me so much! Any and all opinions are welcom, and appreciated. I forgot to mention that at present i have no income at all, and my son has been paying my bills. I do own a small house.

You can sponsor your future husband the same way that someone who is not a widow, is not handicapped, or is fully handicapped can - by having an income. Those things you mention are not relevant.
Since you do not have an income, you can get your son to help you out with the sponsorship if he is willing to pay his bills in addition to yours.

LDRS [Long Distance Relationships via imternet] can be great and seem like the "real thing".
Better to meet first and "try the shoe on to see if fits in all ways" before committing to marriage.
LOTS of LDRs "go flat" after meeting in person!
If all works out then you can worry about how to get him here.

Yodrak is correct and direct. I like direct. Here's a little direct explanation to go with it. Your fiance must demonstrate either with his own financial position or with a US sponsor, that he will not become a public charge. He must demonstrate this to the satisfaction of the Consular officer at the interview and it must be demonstrated again when he adjusts status in the US. If he is on a pension that will continue, perhaps he can self sponsor. If not, your son or some other kind family member or friend is going to end up signing a binding contract to reimburse the US Government, should your husband become a public charge. The details are in the instructions and body of form I-864. I suggest you and all involved, look them over very carefully.
