Good Morning all!

Wow 3 weeks on a florida vacation and I come back to a lot of news. Still trying to catch up, but I did read I left the board for good! Congratulations to all the good news that hapened while I was away and best wishes to all those still waiting.

We received a RFE for the EAD and AP (sent out on June 6) but we could not look at it until yesterday. At first we thought it said they wanted a copy of the I-94 (which we had sent), but then reading it myself, they want proof that Idir was registered or is exempt fromregistering with NSEERS. The language and law is confusing so I am not quite sure how to respond to what they want. My gut feeling is that we are exempt from registering, but who knows with these rules and regulations.

Anyway, its definately slowed the EAD approval down by 2-3 weeks. Who knows how this will impact the AOS which has been touched a lot and then nothing.

That sucks about the RFE. I wish I could help but I don't even know what a NSEERS is.

We have the last softball game tomorrow to determine the rankings for the playoffs. Currently our team is tied for #2 so tomorrow will be a big game for us. After that it's off to get the girls' nails done. My mom got them both a french mani-pedi for their birthdays and since my oldest graduates elementary school on Tuesday we figured they should use it now. Of course I get jack squat.

Does anyone else who works from home find it difficult to actually get dressed?!?!?!?!?! It's 10:30 and I'm STILL in my jammies and I really need to run errands during lunch. UGH I'm so not motivated today.

things are good here! just packing and getting ready for the move next week! seeing friends and tying up loose ends. abdou got a new interview so i'm happy about that! june 25th at 7:30am!
today i'm going to a dinner party and am going to bring carrot cake cupcakes with cream cheese frosting. YUMMMMMMM!

i hate it when i forget to mail my netflix in too. thats one of the big downsides to using that service!

Thanks Doodle. NSEERS is for a selct group of countries (like yours and mine) but because you are married and coming over on an immigrant visa, you won't have to worry about it for your husband. I don't think my husband is required for NSEERS but they need to be shown that. I called USCIS twice before getting a nice woman who explained what I should send in. so its in the mail, lets see if it works.

i went to see the vampires today. it took them 4 STABBBS to get my blood. but everything went good. got my xray done, my 'sample' done, and my blood done. now i just gotta go back the 27th at 130pm for my actual physical. so we are movin right along..at least on my end. but my medical is good for 3mths so i dont have to fret yet. hopefully he will have all the paperwork ready by the end of the mth.

i am opening Dae's savings account today so instead of sending my support payments in full to his dad, and wonderin if they are goin on him or his dads cigs, i will put most in the account for him and ill send some to make sure he is getting his needs. i pay more then the court had ordered just because. hmmmmm what else....ohhh yea FIVE more days til school is out here!! yippppyyy!! then we get to have some funnnnnnn. Dae's uncle got fired from his job so he wont be comin with us, but thats okay we will have fun anyway. first stop, Greenwood park, this weekend on sunday. swiimmmmin time!!

Well went to hardware store to get screen that had to be fixed so now the cat can sit in her favorite window, went to get my favorie traveling pants taken in (though at the rate I'm eating this week that might not have been a good idea ), spent 1/2 hour at the hospital just to get blood drawn 'cause I guess they have a new way of testing Lupus where you put the blood on ice or something and they couldn't figure it out , and had a Lean Cuisine pizza and I'm sorry but that ain't no pizza!!!


I wish you could pick your seat online with Alitalia. Dee did you call them to do it or did you just get whatever was available?

i flew with Aliltalia once, from Beirut to Toronto, i picked my seat on check in....but when i boarded someone else had been chked in with that seat too.....they were SOOOOOO rude!! but thankfully the plane was about empty so i got the whole middle row to myself and i got an extender, buckled up and laid down the wholllle flight i slept. best luck with them!

they are supposed to be part of the sky team with air france and czech airlines...so far i have found czech airlines best for nice attendents and air france best for entertainment.

Not a lot going on here today. Stuck here at work till 4:00 then I'm going out with the girls for a while

I'm considering getting another tattoo tonight.

Yes Atalia is part of the skyteam but talk about confusing...I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to attach my skyteam membership to this particular trip so I guess I'm SOL for getting credit for the miles. I even talked to one of their customer service reps and although she was nice enough she hadn't a clue either. Actually she was WICKED nice to me when I told her my last name since it's Italian (I still have my ex's name)...she was all like "oooooooooooooooooooooh and ITALIAN name!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Funny aside (ok i'm talkative today 'cause I'm supposed to be doing my cpe's which are due by the end of june and i hate doing that stuff)..........I haven't told my parents that I'm going because I just don't wanna hear it...............so in looking at hotels in Alexandria I found out there is a section called Miami...........................so if I stay there and call her I can say I'm in Miami!!!

How are my friends here? I pray well.
This summer I hope is going to be a good one. It seems ok so far. I need a good summer. I think we may be going to Tunis this summer. We played around with several other locations, but nothing is coming together with my husband sick (but elhamdullah he is walking, doing his therapy and will start back to work I donnow when)... and of course the house construction is still going on. Seems like forever. Any good news? Approvals?Arrivals?Weddings?Births?Holidays?Any?
I am so bored. I miss my husband I am going to California tomorrow. Ye! yippy fun... well no not with my husband. I rather be in Alger now. Well soon I will be so I should shut up huh?!

It's a good thing you weren't here the last few days. It's been 100+ degrees!!
I read that it's supposed to be cooler over the weekend.

I started taking an Arabic class! I'm so excited. The first class was last Thursday night. Unfortunately it's only 5 classes, but insha'allah I'll get a very good grounding and then I might buy the Rosetta Stone Arabic language course.

I also just finished listening to an awesome cd series called Mothers of the Believers by imam Suhaib Webb. Not sure if I spelled his name right or not. Anyways, it's 11 cd's and mashallah he did soooo great in the recording! It would be really good to listen to on a trip or something. It's about the wives of the prophet, peace be upon him. Highly recommended!

Sorry to hear you have to spend time with your ex. I'm sorry I have to spend time with mine too (though not much), since he lives around here.

Aaaaaaaaaaaand the blessed month of Ramadan is now just over 12 weeks away. I donnow why I am so excited this year. Maybe cos last Ramadan was so great... I want a repeat.

Books sounds good. I will try to check it out. Have you read Footsteps (by Umm Zakiyyah) I am reading that one. Ye we have a full day of flying ahead of us, to I am going to bed.
