My daughter missed sending her birth certificate !!!!! that's why we got the RFE, anyway as of this morning it's now on it's way to CSC, so fingers crossed for a speedy approval once they receive it.

Thanks to all, could "kill" my daughter but she is so busy and sometimes when you check and then double check, it's so easy to miss something. Anyway, her's hoping that it is done and dusted in couple fo weeks and then onto NVC

Hi all, the birth cert went back to them this morning. I had a voice mail from my daughter when I got up this morning saying what the RFE was for and that she would get it sent to them as soon as she got off at lunch time, so as we speak it is winging its way to CSC.

Loads of Mojo folks, that we get our approval quickly.

ah !! a lil correction...I found out that actually what they really are looking for is a copy of his divorce decree (which was already sent) and some documents that was in Portuguese translated to English (which also we had already sent) blah !! I guess they did lose it

Yes a copy is required along with a Certified Translation if it is not in English. Atleast that is what my lawyer asked me to submit.

But that´s not until the interview, right?

I may be wrong but I think you need it at the time of filing. I have a different list of documents we need to obtain once the NOA2 has been received. But please keep in mind I just gave my lawyer what he requested from me and I am not sure if everything he requested was needed at the time of filing. I am sure more then a few VJrs could let you know when the Birth Certificate is needed. Sorry I couldn't be of more help

Donna sent her birth cert back on the 28th of March , we received the email notification that they had received it on the 7th April and here we are --still damned well waiting!!!

How long does it take to link a requested piece of information and one so clear as a birth cert to prove she is my daughter-- to the rest of the file for God's sake!!!!! I just cannot believe it, no wonder people get so angry with this process. I am trying my hardest not to get stressed out but I am getting to the point where anger is taking over from stress and I do not want to turn round and basically say "stuff it" I've had enough, that really would put the cat amongst the pigeons, so to speak. And my daughter and my hubby would not be happy people


Well, rant over for another day, see what this week brings and one other thing, I am well p****d off with the weather over here, rain , rain and more damn rain, I want to be in the sun
