In order to leave Cuba you need a exit permit and they are requesting a new letter of invitation to be send to the Cuba counselor, well we did however this is taking a very long time, and we are getting worried, to be in the safe side does anyone know the procedure on how to obtain a extension of the visa????

I suspect there are unique procedures for Cuba with which the appropriate Consulate is very familiar. I would contact the Consulate for direct guidance on this matter.
