My wife had her interview yesterday at 7:30AM at Mumbai Embassy and she was approved within 5 minutes. It was a very short interview. Only question asked about me or our relationship were what was my name and my occupation and when was the last time we were together. There were more questions asked about my side of the family then about us. The person conducting the interview went through the interview so fast my wife didn't even have time to reply anything beside few words for each questions. The Interviewer didn't even look at any documents or pictures my wife took with her for evidence of relationship.

Also my wife spoke to few other people who came for the interview and they all had petitions filed at end of last year. She was the only one who had her petition filed in 2007.

Yes you are right, the type of visa certainly plays a part in how long it takes the case to be processed (and of course, the Consulate!). yes.gif
vikasp
Seriously, detailed questions. How would the consular officer verify accuracy??

Hey this might be because you sent in your packet 3 in advance? I assume most non-vjers don't know about this.
