The quiet resignation that the week has begun.
The saitisfaction that tommorrow is Wednesday
and the week will be half way over then.
Today is my day "off", though I will sleep away most of it because of the weird and crazy shift I work. What's everyone else up to today?

im here. today is a new day.
i am tryinggggg to find a dr that will do my medical, or should i say allll of the lab work and stuff. apparently my gp says its too complicated and she doesnt want to do a maleria film 'because you havent been exposed to that' and as far as the 'other' sample they want, she said they will throw it out...well good i dont WANT the sample, i NEED them to culture it for 2 things and write it down. i have to make an acute visit today for my HIV cause it takes the longest, and while im there i will just have the rest of my labs drawn, if she can write the order up. ughhherss. lol
alrighty time to call the office. hopefully i can get this done, if not i dont know where to go. our health dept doesnt do adult physicals.

whyyy is this so difficult?? lol yes today isssss better, just frustrated at the moment. i called geo to ask him what all i needed in my medical as far as blood work is concerned. he was shaving so obviously he couldnt look right then, he is supposed to call me back when he looks at his papers. he just had a medical, but he had it in Lebanon, noooooo problems, had the results and everything same day....grrrrrrr. this is a small town and they arent used to people going to Saudi i guess lol.alrighty then.
Morning all! Today is a late day for me today so I dont go to work until around 1 or maybe 2 this afternoon. Got all my laundry done this morning. Feeling so much better now. Think I am finally getting my body back on my US routine. Not much else going on for me today. Hope everyone is having a good day!

Had my monthly stressful meeting. I love it when I'm told to make a presentation exactly two seconds before I"m supposed to make it. 
I love our coffee here at work. Granted it's not a macchiato but still it's not too bad. We have those Green Mountain coffee pods. Not doin' too bad considering I couldn't get to sleep till 2am. lol.

Ok being me I had to call DOS for the last time just to see if they would tell me that the visa was issued. 
Yeah they said sorry it is still in AP, I said why would it now show that the visa has been issued and that my husband has it in hand??? Mam it doesn't state that who told you that? I said my husband has it in his hands with the visa stamped in it and the sealed envelope that he has to give at the airport she said oh the computer only shows AP. I asked her just for future info is there another screen she could look at or if they only say things to get people off the phone. I think I made her mad cos she was very prompt to say that is all she can see. I wished her well and hung up.
Thought you might get a laugh out of it also cos I found it very funny. I find it very disheartening for us that go through this process and try and beleive that someone would know what the he11 they are doing in this process but I am afraid that no one really knows what the heck is really going on.

interesting.... i never had to deal with the US side of immigration, but they sound like a$$holes from what everyone has said here. you are all strong, patient women...

honestly..you would think that they could be A LITTLE bit more organized cause this IS peoples LIVES they are messing with... It's Hit or Miss everytime I call DOS.. sometimes they sound like they know what is going on... Other times.. CLUELESS!!!!!!!!!!
So basically we shouldn't even bother calling DOS when it gets to AP/AR stage. Just wait it out.

I had a similar experience. THe problem is there's more than one screen they need to look through and most just stop at the first. I was told we were complete, then not completed, then complete then visa issued at different times in a 2 day span. The latter, that the visa was issue, came when I started tearing with the one DOS rep I talked to. She called me back on my cell about 2 minutes later to explain there's more than 1 screen and after she looked more in detail saw it had been issued.
I'd say call but always ask if they are looking at the last screen with most recent updates.
